Summary: when the marketing groups for nba 2k6 raved about this game i fell in love!! too bad i was disapointed when i first played it! so many features are left out of this game that their is just too many to list here. the graphics are good.. BUT not "next generation" good. i wish they would have taken more time with this game, but i feel that they rushed it to meet the deadlines.
Summary: For a Xbox 360 created game, the graphics were equal to a playstation 2 or original xbox game but not graphically superior, which is why you buy the system. Game play is good to excellent, with joystick shot ability to get off a quick shot. But I would not pay full price for it, buy used.
Summary: I like the game definetly the best basketball game til 2k7. Can use alot of improvements in gameplay, crowd animation and reactions, need improvements in some of the modes like association, create a player and 24/7. Just lots of little stuff but the basics of the game are good.
Summary: NBA 2K6... its pretty good but one gripe HOW DO YOU EDIT PLAYERS NUMBERS?! I did a fantasy draft and had a bunch of guys with the same number so the cpu automatically gave them new numbers. stephon marbury is number 98 and andrew bogut is number 67 and i dont like it it makes the game feel somewhat fake. does anyone know how to do this?
Summary: After playing the big three b-ball games for '06 (NBA Live, NBA 2K6, and NBA '06: The Life), and reading the reviews posted here for each, I'm still not convinced about much of anything, other than the makers of these games got a bunch of our hard-earned dollars for giving us very little as far as quality gaming. To wit: 1. NBA Live '06 - This series should be fantastic, but seems to keep taking major steps backwards with every new release.
Summary: NBA 2k5 is my favorite basketball game ever, not only because the graphics were great (at the time the game was released,) but the soundtrack, presentation, and gameplay were outstanding. So when I heard that NBA 2K6 was coming to the Xbox 360, I thought the game was going to follow the same fantastic formula that made 2K5 a top notch game. Well, to put it shortly, I was very disappointed.
Summary: LETS FACE IT NBA 2K6 IS NOT AS GREAT AS THESE OTHER REVIEWS WOULD LEAD YOU TO BELIEVE . THE GRAPHICS , PRESENTATION , AND SOUNDS ARE ALL TOP NOTCH . THE GAMEPLAY NEEDS IMPROVEMENT THOUGH . WITH A FEW TWEAKS THIS GAME WOULD BE PERFECT . OK FIRST LOSE THE MOMENTUM BASED PHYSICS IT HAMPERS THE FLOW OF THE GAME .THE PLAYERS MOVE LIKE THEY'RE IN OUTER SPACE - UNREALISTIC. NEXT EVERYONE SAYS HOW GREAT THE A.I. IS I DISAGREE.
Summary: Nba 2k6 consists of great graphics and solid gameplay , but that is about it. From what I hear it is just a carry-over from the xbox version. If it was for xbox or ps2 it would be a great game, but since it is for xbox 360 I would expect more. There are several game modes and many options you can tweak. The online play is very solid also. The main theme of the game is realism.
