Summary: They gotta make some improvements in the 2K4 series. for example: the game is too slow, the actual players are way faster. They also need to create more moves. The bench players should react more often when you make a fantastic play. they gotta be real on the "challenge mode".They make you miss too many easy shots when you're playin' on the SEGASPORTS CHALLENGE.
Summary: I bought this game for my son who is 17years old He plays this game from sun up to sun down. The sounds are great and the color is beautiful. When he is playing I sometime have to check to see if there is a game on that I forgot that day. The sounds are so real and he is so into it, that he sounds like he is at a real live game. I would reccommend this game to only true lovers of the sport of basketball.
Summary: This is the best basketball game I've played. Before I bought it I tried both NBA Live 2003 and 2k3. 2k3 was more realistic. Some people might complain that Yao MIng isn't in the game. But if he was and hadn't signed with the Rockets in real life, others probably would have complained too. Overally, I say 2k3 is a better game than Live 2003. So, if you're looking for a most realistic experience in video gaming buy 2k3.
Summary: Sega Sports does it again! Once again they put out a game that is superior to EA's game of the same sport. NFL 2K3 is better than Madden 2003, and NBA 2K3 is loads better than this year's Live. This game is REALISTIC. Which is essential in a simulation of a sport. No more 150+ scores like on Live when playing a full 12 minute per period game. No way. Just like in the real NBA, the scores will mostly be in the higher 80's to mid 90's when playing a full 48 minute game.
Make room on the bandwagon, here comes another!!!!!
31 October 2002
Summary: I have always been an EA Sports Fan and had always looked forward to its NBA LIVE each year. However, after last year's disappointing NBA LIVE 2002 I decided to rent before buying. So I rented NBA 2k3 and NBA LIVE 2003, and the grass looks nicer on the other side(The NBA 2k3 side). NBA LIVE 2003 has the great feature of the freestyle dribble, however, it reminds me too much of NBA Street. I already have NBA Street and what I am looking for is a good sim.
Summary: A word to the wise: all the reviews harping about nba 2k3 has taken a step back, or nba 2k3 is not as good as the latest version of nba live (which has finally become a DECENT game again), all the haters need to step off! Serious bball sim players listen up: nba 2k3 is the best sim on the market, no contest. nba live 2003 is the best arcade game. It's that simple. Want proof? Ok, you get defense with 2k3, nba live (still) has none.
Summary: Usually, I read all of the reviews posted to get an idea of what to expect in a game that I want and typically the reviews are accurate and either help persuade me to invest in the game or look elsewhere to spend my hard earned dollars. I whole heartedly disagree with the majority of the "bad" reviews that Nba 2k3 got. When I first popped the game in, I was expecting the same player experience as in NBA 2k2 but with updated rosters.
Summary: Much improved title from Sega. I highly recommend it for gamers looking for a more "realistic" experience. If b-ball sims aren't for you, try Live 2003 for more of an arcade like experience. Outstanding gameplay, lifelike graphics, and attention to details (AI has different cornrows, Ben Wallace sports the 'fro at times and 'rows at others, Q does his patented head-knock move) make this an overall must-have for hoop fans.
Summary: NBA 2K3 is slow paced and more of a simulation. While not much has changed, it does have an ESPN license, and it has player intros and real coaches. However the stupid thing is there is no edit number. I traded ePat to the Lakers, and they gave him number 0, since Jesus has 8. I wanted him to wear 53, but there is no way to change it. I like how you run plays on this game, the players respond really well.
