Summary: NASCAR 2001 was the first Nascar video game I ever played, and I had all kinds of fun with it when I played it with my cousin. Just recently, I purchased a game system, and thought how totally awesome it would be if I had NASCAR 2001, and it did not let me down. Let me start out by saying that this game is a particularly user-friendly game; it is easy to understand, and it's game play, vibrant colors and graphics, and nostalgia of past drivers like Dale Earnhardt, Kenny...
Summary: This game is not the Best NASCAR game on the market any more (NASCAR Thunder 2002 and the soon to be released 2003 are better versoins of this game), but it is better then NASCAR Heat 2002... . If you like NASCAR or racing games and don't want to spead a lot of money - this is a perfect pick up right now to get started on you PS2.
Summary: This game is HIGHLY underated on this site from people who dont like nascar. I am an average Nascar fan. Most people that have reviewed before have NOT been nascar fans. This game delivers a real bumper to bumper feel. The cars are very realistic and they still have Dale Earnhardt because he passed away after this was made. They have most of the tracks including Daytona.
Summary: I found that this is the same game as for the PS1, with a little better graphics than the first. They have also reduced the amount of control you have when setting up the car as well during pit-stops. Over all this game is not worth the disc it is burned on! My opinion, worse that a flat tire going into turn 1 at 200 miles per hour!!
Summary: I had reasonably high hopes for this one, and read the reviews expecting some studdering/pixelized graphics before buying, but thought the "fast paced" gameplay would make up for it. I was wrong. I was bored with this game after a couple of hours. The graphics are mediocre at best and the gameplay is SO boring. You better rent this one first before blowing 50 bucks.
Summary: EA has worked very hard to make this a true NASCAR game. A lot of "Gamers" don't understand games that you don't score points when you crash and burn. This game allows you to make raceday everyday, and those fans out there know what I mean. Effects are good, but the personality of NASCAR captured by the game is what makes this a game a GREEN FLAG!
Summary: Well it is Clear to me that this was a rush job.The graphics could have been much better. This version lost alot of the good stuff. No sound on the replay. The pit stop and the garage options are lost.I was disapointed.Overall i enjoy the game but it could have been so much better.
Summary: This game is great! I've read reviews on several sites and was surprised at the mixed response. I've read several complaints about the game that can be avoided. One complaint had to do with only having only three car settings...That is only in arcade. Try simulation. Wedge, tire pressure, gear ratios, downforce, etc. can be manipulated here. You can customize your car and save your settings for each track. Graphic are good, driving is realistic.
