Conclusion: I am a big fan of fighting games, but just like the DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi games, I just can't get into these Naruto titles. But, more importantly, each title seems to always be well received by fans, so the developers are hitting their niche market and apparently giving them what they want.
Conclusion: If you're looking for a new Naruto game to sharpen your kunai on then Ultimate Ninja 3 is definitely worth a spin. The gameplay may be the same as ever but slight improvements in just about every department help flesh out the experience. Sadly no matter how you slice it this effort is not quite as good as Rise of a Ninja for the 360. Even so it's still a worthy fighter that will keep fans entertained.
Excerpt: Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3 may not be the "ultimate" ninja game (that's a bit like aspiring to be the utimate Pope), but it's still loaded with enough content and features to keep fans of the series happy for hours.
Excerpt: Like its plucky eponymous hero, Ultimate Ninja 3 gets by on sheer charm. Unlike the boy ninja, its ninjutsu is weaker than watered-down ramen. No, it isn't much of a fighting game. But it's so faithful to its source material, it should nevertheless provide hours of good entertainment to fans of the series. It has two short single-player modes, pitch-perfect writing, flawless voice acting, spit-shined graphics, and a surprisingly entertaining dating system.
Pros: Awesome production values, from graphics to voices, Good original storyline, Quirky and authentic character interactions, Very entertaining for six hours
Cons: Not entertaining at all after that, Horribly shallow fighting system, Bad minigames
