Better than everything else

Amazon Customer, Amazon
7 March 2004
  • Summary: This game has a better gameplay than anything else on the market. They solved the problem of pitchers always throwing strikes and made it possible to walk people without intentionally trying to. The franchise mode isnt that good but its still ok.

Awesome ,but needs more

Amazon
7 March 2004
  • Summary: Wow! What a game. This game has everything it is for a true baseball fan. Few complaints except: no fantasy draft only player franchise mode very hard toget a strikeout, even when a pitch is perfect. But I can do it it just takes practice.

great improvment

Amazon
7 March 2004
  • Summary: I didn't think this game would be any good at all after playing the old triple play from ea sports, but I was wrong. It is great. It has a good sound track (like all the other ea games), good grahpics, and controls you can get used to. The total pitch control and Full swing control are nice.

Great game for baseball fans!

  • Summary: I will mention from the start that this is the only baseball game I have ever owned for the PS2...which is the only reason I've given it 4 stars. With that said, this is best baseball game I have played in a looong time.

Awesome

7 March 2004
  • Summary: THis game is awesome it is much better than triple Play, You have to have good timing to get the pitch meter to throw strikes it is harder than the previous series (Triple Play). It is chalenging to hit the pitches, not to easy but not too hard.

Great, fun game.

Amazon
7 March 2004
  • Summary: MVP 2003 is a great step foward from Triple Play. As someone who played Triple Play sparingly becaue I just didn't like it, I am finding myself already hooked on MVP. There's a lot of customizable features that make this game a fun one to play. Franchise mode is quite in depth and quite fun to play.

Can't Get Enough

Andrew Wood, Amazon
7 March 2004
  • Summary: This game had alot of flaws(the less than perfect fielding, and the lack of a fantasy draft), but it's by far the best baseball game out there. The pitching interface and control is completely original and is the best I have come upon in any baseball game.

good debut game

Nicholas R. Sanderson, Amazon
7 March 2004
  • Summary: everyone knows the story, for years ea has been the leader in video game sports but as years go on there starting to fall apart, there never really was a problem with madden but every other game was kind of a let down.

Some Changes

Wewill1992, Amazon
7 March 2004
  • Summary: There have been many changes from EA Sports. The group switched its Triple Play series into an MVP Baseball series (which I found out in a cold night at Gamestop in 2002). Instead of pushing a button just to pitch, you have to time your release.
