Summary: I used this thing on playstation 2 ten years ago.although I prefer my keyboard and actually playing music , this thing pufs out decent quality sounds.its decent quality music making on a budget for ps2.probably the best you can get for that particular system.I gave it a four out of five because its dated, but the essential tools you need are all here.percussion, bass, pianos, guitars, etc.its flippin cool.
Summary: I had this game back in 2001 one and I loved this game. MTV Music Generator 2 allowed me to make music on my ps2. I came up with a few songs before system got stolen. I own a better version of this game but just having it just brings the fun back in making music...
Summary: As you might already know, this game allows you to take samples and piece them together to make a song. But what's also great about MTV:MG2 is that you can start from scratch! You can create and arrange your own bass lines with a different line of 'instruments,' and you can make your own original beats. Probably the hardest to make an original composition in, is the Melody section, so you need to have some knowledge in music theory and keyboarding.

Summary: this is the music industry dirty little secret. that the industry does not want you to know! you do not have to waste tons on money on a studio to start. this is the perfect tool for starters just get your hands on the sampler kit and will have access to tons of music.from your PC,turntables,cd,tape decks,8 tracks, and even straight from the radio. you can have a remix just in a few hours if you know how to work it!
Summary: Beat machine, not a game, trust me i've got 20 beats already. Not dinky, keyboard beats, but REAL BEATS, some better than some of the songs out today. Trust me. Only thing is the sounds have to be thought out yourself on how fast or slow, or how a certain tune may sound, before you put it into a beat; and it could be difficult to find a particular sound you prefer.
Takes Patience but a Nice Tool & don't forget the Add-on!

Summary: I got the MTV Music maker for the PSX & My son & I had a BLAST with it! When the PS2 version came out I jumped on it! ... If you read thru the info that comes with the "game", there's an offer for a Microphone attachment that plugs in thru the USB port (one of them) this allows you to add your OWN vocal OR sound samples! I jumped on this thing REAL QUICK!
Summary: if you are a big music fan and know alot about how music works and how to create it, this game might be a little too boring for you. this game may last you up to 3 days at the most, but eventually you'll grow tiresome of this tool and want to move on to bigger and better things, like i have. this game used to be my prime tool for making what i thought was good music, but when you take a look at all the other stuff out there, this is very minor.
