Moto GP

23 February 2006
  • Excerpt: "MotoGP3, like the prior MotoGP games, is based on the MotoGP, the premier motorcycle racing tour that takes racers around the world as they compete for the gold. A group of twenty-one riders lock heads as they race around hairpin turns and continuously break and accelerate, finding the perfect balance of speed and, well, balance. Like previous MotoGP games, MotoGP3 offers up an Arcade, Season, Challenge, and Time Trial mode. Arcade mode lets the ...

  • Excerpt: "I really enjoyed this game and i think others have to because i dont think anyone can dislike this game if they like racing games as this is a perfect example of what the ps2 was built for. At the begining it is hard but that's the beauty of the game. As you go through it more and more it does get easier and harder at the same time. The challenges that are set for you are difficult especially the win 5 championships in a row unless you have the top ...

Moto GP 3

  • Excerpt: "The new version is smoother and more responsive then the last and the difficulty levels are far more realistic. This game handles great and I never knew highsiding could be so much fun. There are plenty of bikes to choose from and also to win as you progress through the game. If you are looking for a game that you and your friends can all play then try the four player mode with the best split screen available and no squashed or stretched graphics. Overall ...

Gran Turismo on Bikes. Needs more tracks.

Neil, amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: Got this game yesterday and was initially impressed by the graphics especially the replays but like everyone else says, it does need more tracks. You do get certain bonus items for things like overtaking 15 riders in a race but this isn't difficult when you start from the back and there are 20 in front of you. Not sure what these are yet but looking at the other reviews I'll bet they're not hidden tracks.

  • Excerpt: "Moto GP is an arcade bike sim. It has incredible graphics that draw you into the incredible gameplay. The bikes handle smoothly and realistic scenery and tracks add to the whole mood of the game. The 5 tracks have crowds of people that react to every move of the riders, cheer, wave and wave flags of your team to make you go faster...and you do. Every detail of the game is perfect and makes you want to race faster and faster to beat your rivals. The ...

  • Excerpt: ONLY IF YOU'RE DESPERATE!! Overall this game is not even worth a second look, the storyline is poor, basic and pointless. You quite often find yourself replaying a mission/Act just to remember what happened before. The game is all action and does not allow you to settle into a "game mode". Another point is the gaming style, well lack of it. You simply press Triangle over and over again in order to kill an enemy, on and maybe with the occasional Circle.

Doctor on a Motorbike

MR.COATES, Ciao
16 August 2001
  • Excerpt: "...this review is on Namco’s Moto GP for the PS2. The title has actually been knocking around for quite some time now and for me it was one of the first PS2 titles to make me realise just what the console is capable of. I remember seeing it in action and thinking how fast, smooth and realistic it looked. The replays were/are quite frankly out of this world and are (dare I say this?!) BETTER than those seen in the Gran Turismo series. Now I know ...

MotoGP (PS2): Doctor on a motorbike?

MR.COATES, Dooyoo
16 August 2001
  • Summary: Title: Moto GP Format: PS2 Publisher: Namco There’s something about Motorbikes that attracts millions of people to them. It’s quite probably the speed, more than likely something to do with the freedom and no doubt the desire to ride around with your lights on all day may come in to it somewhere. Well, perhaps not that last bit but one thing is for certain – they can be fast.
  • Pros: Detailed visuals, Plenty of features, Highly playable
  • Cons: Handling not quite right
