Summary: While definitely not the best game in the series, nothing beats the one that started it all. And it's in English, thank the heavens. The only thing I found wrong with it is the camera, it is atrocious. Combat system is strange, but once you get used to it, it isn't too bad.

Summary: There really is nothing like Monster Hunter and it has a surprising amount of depth for a PS2 game, and this is just from a solo player point of view, I have never played online. As far as the depth goes I rate it right up there with GTA3 and Dark Cloud 2, both great, lot of depth PS2 games.

Summary: This game is packed with fun and action. It's got hundreds of weapons and armor sets, hundreds of monsters to kill, and many more things...after about 2-3 months of playing offline it gets old... By the way the game's online was shut off. (biggest mistake ever!) Offline i would rate this game 7/10
