Summary: This is the best baseball game on earth. It is even better than EA sport's MVP 2005. My friend has that game, and I tried it. That game stinked. It had bad graphics. It wasn't even realistic like MLB 2005. So instead of MVP 2005, buy MLB 2005. The reason is IT'S A BETTER GAME!
Summary: i got this game for my birthday and right away i new it was cool.I love doing fantasy drafts and trading my players. It was a good idea to make up fake players to take the place of the players who arnt in it. For example on the boston redsox(my favorite team)there is a player called kevin millar but in the game he isnt in it, so instead they used a guy nameed joe eaton to replace him. its very realistic and very fun. i highly reccomend u get this game.
Summary: This game looks the tops of its league. I recently went to america and i watched the San Diego Padres against the Phillies. It was awsome. I can't wait to get mlb 2005. The graphics look amazing. The other reviews are stupid and i wouldn't think they are proper gamers. Get the game because i know i will.
Summary: This game is great if your a big fan of the MLB Baseball video games for the playstation. The graphics are pretty good, and so is everything else. Also online play is fun too. If your looking for a good baseball game with in-depth gameplay, look no further, cause MLB is a hit out of the park!
Summary: I played MVP Baseball and it sucked, as did All Star Baseball but I bought this game and I loved it. It provides the best gameplay around. The only problems I have are minor problems. MVP Baseball lets you play as minor league teams which was cool but seeing how I could only win at manager mode at that game it isn't important that I can't play as the Bowie Baysox or Norfolk Tides.
Summary: If you are a fan of baseball, then this is most definitely the one and only baseball game you should play. From double plays to home runs, this game has it all. Definitely play this... definitely play this.
Summary: Very solid for the price. This is the best baseball game I have ever played. And I've played two nintendo games, three playstation one games, and another playstation 2 game. I must say that this is a great game. The Franchise mode is simply amazing. You can set promotions like free program night, newspaper ads for players or your team. Talk about total control. You get to set the ticket and concession prices.
Summary: Barry Bonds is not in is because he is no longer liscensing his likeness through MLBPA. Sort of like Michael Jordan did and Lavar Arrington of the redskins is doing. Also, when I play a game, some people on my 25 player roster don't show up (I had Ken Griffey on my bench and he wasn't there during the game - it happened with other players too).
Summary: This is the best baseball game ive ever played for PS2. You can go through a career and that is fun. You can also do a season, franchise or just an exhibition. The only thing i find wrong about this game is that when a person BUNTS with runners on and you try to get the lead runner, it calls them safe even if they were out and charges the thrower with an error, but other than this 5 stars.
Summary: I'm a baseball fan and a hardcore gamer. Seeing as though I could care less about any other pro sports aside from baseball, I await March for my yearly sports gaming fix like an addict. Since the beginning of March, I have run the entire gamut of baseball games for all 3 consoles. I started my gaming season with MVP 2004. As far a thorough disappointment goes, MVP hits a grand slam.
