Summary: This is an excellent realistic baseball game for PS2 even though it is about 4 years old. Love the 'Manager Mode' for us older folks whose fingers don't work as fast as the young-uns. :) Puts MLB 2K12 to shame.
Summary: Considering how this is a slightly outdated game for a slightly outdated system, it wouldn't suprise me how the announcer's calls are often repetitive and there are buggy graphics galore, but for a developer as much caliber as SCEA, it seems in that time period (2009 or so), Sony tossed that together for a system barely anybody was using! But I'm glad to see they cleaned it up for the final two installments of The Show for the PS2 (TS:10 & TS:11).
Summary: I made the mistake of buying this game back after I had sold it months before, and the only reason it gets such a good review from me is becuase of the sweet presentations and graphics. For one, pitching is a nightmare, the placement of the baseball using the analog stick is so sensitive its hard to put it where I want it sometimes.
Summary: This series just keeps getting better. More animations and options make this the best baseball game for the PS2. It is very easy to update rosters. The cut scenes are done very well and the graphics are probably the best you'll get for this system. The games are very realistic as the players play pretty much as the real thing. In one game with the Giants, Aaron Rowand, he got a base hit exactly the way he did in real life the night before.
Summary: Mlb 09 the show is simply the best baseball game on the market until mlb 10 comes out. This is so much better than 2k baseball games which i am not a fan of. For ps2 the graphics are good. I noticed that they made faces different in this one. The stats are good but they hardly show stolen bases, slugging pct, and fielding stats. But that is the only complaint I have. I flat out dominate at this game and the ps3 version has trophies.
