Summary: Definitely one of the best entries in the MLB series. I much prefer it over MLB 11: The Show (PS2 version). The controls are spot on is this game, loads of fun to be had. The only thing that sucks, is the online servers have been long taken down, but that's not a big deal to me as I never played online much.
Summary: Its a great baseball game!!! My son and I have played some of the two player stuff and I am doing the single player career mode. Its been alot of fun. I would give it the max stars but that would state it is prefect which is just not possible. So it got four stars. :) Five stars for fun.
Summary: well i've been a fan of the MLB game franchise since 2003. and i have to say MLB 07 is the best. the career mode can be kind of frustrating but thats the only down side. the graphics are amazing, and the game isnt buggy or glitchy like 08, or, 09, its fun and has its challenging parts. but dont let that turn you away from this game. this game is the ultimate MLB experiance. if you can live with having outdated rosters this game is for you!
Summary: MLB 2007 The Show is a great game. The graphics are very good, the gameplay is very good, and all the modes of the game- just purely amazing. In Career mode you can either do 'Road to the Show' or 'Classic'. I would say 'Road to the Show' is better. You only do your player's events, so the games go a lot quicker. I have only had the game for about two months, and am already in my sixth season. Also, 'Franchise' mode is very addicting.
Summary: MLB 2007: The Show is a great game that I recommend to anyone that is interested in purchasing sports video games, or baseball video games in particular. "The Show" is one of the top MLB games on the market and you'd be hard pressed to find something better. There are many features unique to this series that make it a must buy for gamers. Graphics/Animation-The graphics in MLB 07 are not as good as ones in the 2K series, but are still pretty good.
Summary: Though initially a little frustrating for me to learn how to properly hit and pitch (the first game was not a pretty score), eventually this has become one of my favorite games. It's pretty lifelike for PS2 graphics. Almost all aspects of the game are thought out.
Summary: This game is one of the best baseball games I have played over the years. It has a great presentation that feels like you are actually watching a real game. The announcers are right on and do not feel canned and corny. The game mechanics are solid and the game is polished and very close to real. My son loves this game and we play often and enjoy this game more than any other on the pc2.
Summary: Really like the career mode, although the base running isn't all that fun. I like being able just to take part in the plays that my created player is involved in. Hitting and fielding are good, being on base just takes too long. Sometimes I try to steal just so I can get it over with. Other than that, I really like it. Although I was a little ticked when the Sox cut me after hitting .350 in AAA!
Summary: While waiting for MLB the Show 2008 to come out for the PS3, I'm hoping that a few gameplay changes will be made to the 07 version. Having played a full 162 game season with MLB The Show 2007 (on a PS2), I'd like to offer the following retrospective pros and cons- mainly from the gameplay point of view.
