Fun Game just freezes

carl, Amazon
20 February 2014
  • Summary: The Game is fun to play. The Downside to it is that some times in the middle of a game it tends to freeze. This can be annoying. I thought it could be the PS2 so i tested it to make sure on another one. the disc i have btw was brand new no scatches fresh out of the package.

This game is fun and gets expanded on with its sequels.

CountDruckula, Amazon
19 April 2012
  • Summary: MLB:06 The Show is the first game under The Show series of baseball games. It was a first party game developed by SCE San Diego Studio, for the PlayStation 2 and PSP. Sound: The game has a lot of good music (there are twelve songs overall) and good commentators (which you can turn off at anytime if they get repetitive.) 8/10 Graphics: The Graphics look very good.

Not as good as MLB06 (Not show version)

theredwillow, Amazon
11 March 2009
  • Summary: I think the game from 2005 was better (MLB06 - Not "The Show" Version). This seems to be exactly the same except the players are dumber (they'll slow down before jumping to catch home runs, they didn't do stupid stuff like that in MLB06), the scoreboards are uglier (the layouts looked sharper before), they have a stupid mini game feature on the side, and finally, a positive, the players were updated for the 2006 season (which isn't that much of an improvement).

So So

Jeremy Krastas, Amazon
1 June 2008
  • Summary: Let me first state that I actually do in fact enjoy playing MLB '06 the show, but my enjoyment won't be apparent in my review which is actually reads like more of a rant! I feel that this game consists of some really annoying glitches and features that plague this game: - The fielders all play gold glove caliber defense, you could relocate David Ortiz to Center Field and he'd be infallible with the glove.

Little data, lots of space, only good to hit batters

Cassidy5 "Brennan C", Amazon
18 January 2008
  • Summary: When I was told I could have this game I was pumped. When I loaded the game and saved my data, it took 3000 kb for rosters, profile, and dynasty. That and it was hard to play without setting everything good and taking about 750 kb. The only way to set the ball in the strike zone is to try and pitch it high. My way of hitting is to just swing and see what happens. Hitting was fairly easy, and playing on easy, I was losing 19-1 in the 3rd.

MLB 06 The Show

B Pizzle, Amazon
28 October 2007
  • Summary: Great MLB game for the ps2. Easy to pitch, field, steal, and bat. Has a ton of different modes of play. A lot of editors have given MLB 06 The Show a better rating than MLB 07. Do the research it's a great game.

Too Many Flaws

A. M. Gems, Amazon
2 September 2007
  • Summary: The regular gameplay itself is okay so other reviews have handled that aspect. I would like to review the extras. Once you create a profile it takes a LONG time to earn enough points to buy the old timers. Then when you do they look just like the regular players with some type of Pirates offshoot jerseys like the all star teams. Plus, the choices for players is really strange. The only eraly era 3rd baseman is George Kell! The other really annoying extra is Career Mode.
