Mission: Impossible Operation Surma

TotalPlayStation.com
16 January 2004
  • Excerpt: Mission: Impossible fans have had it rough over the past couple years. The games have been crap, Jim Phelps has turned bad and the second movie ended up being more flash than substance, much like the actor that's held the starring role in last two films. You'd think it'd be easy to capture the feeling of the movies and TV series, but so far nobody has even gotten the gadgets down right on the proper scale.

  • Excerpt: From past experiences with the last Mission Impossible games, we thought that all these games are the same way. Impossible! Operation Surma is looking to change the minds of the gaming public by bringing a Splinter Cell clone of a game that is no longer impossible, but just extremely difficult. Here are my thoughts on the new game in the Mission Impossible series.

Mission Impossible: Operation Surma

  • Conclusion: MI is a strange game to sum up. There are so many things that are even bad or unoriginal about it and quite a few niggles but even with them I did actually find myself enjoying playing it. I think the reason being was the simplicity with which it played and the blatant hand holding for each objective, meaning you never forgot what you were trying to do, and there was also a strange compulsion to see where the story took me.
  • Pros: Graphics are rather nice., It's easy to play.
  • Cons: Seen it all before and seen it done better., It's rather predictable but at the same time manages to be kind of compelling.

Mission Impossible: Operation Surma - Review (PS2/Xbox)

Konsolen-World
21 September 2004
  • Conclusion: Schnell fällt auf das Mission Impossible: Operation Surma sich an Spiele wie Splinter Cell anlehnt.

  • Conclusion: Ethan Hunt auf Sam Fishers Spuren - schleichbegeisterte Freizeit-Agenten sollten auf jeden Fall einen Blick riskieren.

  • Pros: - nette Grafik, - Gute Soundkulisse, - Top-Singleplayer Modus, - Perfekte K.I., - Packende Story, - Agenten-Feeling, - Kinogutschein
  • Cons: - Kein Multiplayer, - Keine sehr guten Lichteffekte á la Splinter Cell
