Summary: I bought Midnight Club II, because I have Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition: Remix and loved it. Midnight Club II wasn't what I was expecting it to be. The third editon, MC3, offers much more in cars, upgrades, and other aspects, wheras MCII has all preconfigured cars and there is nothing to really work for. I love what Rockstar Games has done with the newer versions of the MC series, but with this particular version, I am very disappointed. I may even resale on Ebay.
Summary: This game is well done, but do not believe those who say that it is the "next coming" of Gran Turismo 3. It most certainly is not. The handling of the cars in PRD is not realistic at all, even by game or sim standards. Codemasters says that actual race drivers tested the game and provided input; I see no evidence of that whatsoever. The display seems to be very low-resolution. Everything looks blurred. I have a high-definition TV and use a component video cable.
Summary: This game is ok, but doesn't come close to Gran Turismo 3. My major complaint is the handling of the cars. It's very difficult to get a car to have really good grip, even at maximum downforce. A lot of times it's like driving on ice. Ok, maybe I'm exagerrating a little, but the handling is nothing like GT3, and I actually have gotten quite frustrated numerous times. And this is my experience from using the Logitech wheel, not a standard PS2 controller.
Good thought for the game, but the product not the greatest

Summary: After reading several reviews on Amazon.com and couple of other web sites, and then finally maing the purchase, and actually playing the game, I'm somewhat disappointed in its design, gameplay and the story. I've expacted a little more. Truely graphics need to be improved, they don't look like PS1, but need major improvement. Gameplay is simply okay, but the story and the plot of the game could be done with more sense.
Summary: I rented this game after reading some good reviews here, but personally I thought Midnight Club was pretty lame. The lighting effects and cars are pretty cool looking, but otherwise the graphics were just average. The audio is really bad. The characters that you race against have about three different taunts that they say and it gets annoying in a hurry. On the positive side, the controls are decent and the cars handle well.
Summary: Don't let young kids play this game. Street racing is pretty fun, with all the turns and so on. But when there are people walking in the street you're racing on, then hit them it turns out to be a pretty dumb game. Your racing around a corner and wham! What just hit the windsheild!? You can't even slow down in time to miss the poor little person in the road.
Summary: This game is frustrating and will make you want to bust your TV, if not your Playstation. Say what!, the only way to advance is to get first place? Okay, after time and time again, once you know the courese and can probably race it blind folded you can get it. You ever play Driver? Remeber the very last level when you drive the president and these black cars are constantly ramming you? Think of how that made you feel.
Summary: The game had all the potential of being something great, but it fell short in a big way. The graphics are ok, but not as great as they could of been. The cars have almost no realistic value, and you only get 3 cities to race in. I think that MC2 should be alot better then this waste of money. I would recomend that you rent this game before buying.
Summary: When I first bought this game, i thought that it would be much like The Fast and the Furious. It was satisfying after a while, but the game gets so BORING! It's extremely messed up and this is my opinion and I feel it is one of the worst games i have ever played! I sincerely hope that Midnight Club 2 is better, because it sure sounds better!
