Summary: Generally not a bad game, but when you compare it to other Midnight Clubs, you find that this one is stupid. First off, the cars aren't even real. I just don't get why they couldn't get licensed cars. Second, all Midnight Clubs are tricky, but I found this one to be really hard, even at the beginning it's hard. Third, the drivers are incredibly annoying and very rude, they insult you through out every race. The cities are good though, nicely detailed.
Summary: I bought Midnight Club II, because I have Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition: Remix and loved it. Midnight Club II wasn't what I was expecting it to be. The third editon, MC3, offers much more in cars, upgrades, and other aspects, wheras MCII has all preconfigured cars and there is nothing to really work for. I love what Rockstar Games has done with the newer versions of the MC series, but with this particular version, I am very disappointed. I may even resale on Ebay.
Summary: Don't let young kids play this game. Street racing is pretty fun, with all the turns and so on. But when there are people walking in the street you're racing on, then hit them it turns out to be a pretty dumb game. Your racing around a corner and wham! What just hit the windsheild!? You can't even slow down in time to miss the poor little person in the road.
Summary: The game had all the potential of being something great, but it fell short in a big way. The graphics are ok, but not as great as they could of been. The cars have almost no realistic value, and you only get 3 cities to race in. I think that MC2 should be alot better then this waste of money. I would recomend that you rent this game before buying.
Excerpt: "This was a huge let down. Seeing the advert to this game makes you want to buy it straight away. Take my advice and save forty notes keep well away from this game. The concept of the game is great tuned up motors with bad ass alloys, spoilers and neon’s illegally racing through the streets of LA simply playing with the cops as they struggle to chase you. Sounds great but this is not delivered successfully. The career mode is slack you don’t get ...
Summary: When I first bought this game, i thought that it would be much like The Fast and the Furious. It was satisfying after a while, but the game gets so BORING! It's extremely messed up and this is my opinion and I feel it is one of the worst games i have ever played! I sincerely hope that Midnight Club 2 is better, because it sure sounds better!
Summary: This game is ok, but doesn't come close to Gran Turismo 3. My major complaint is the handling of the cars. It's very difficult to get a car to have really good grip, even at maximum downforce. A lot of times it's like driving on ice. Ok, maybe I'm exagerrating a little, but the handling is nothing like GT3, and I actually have gotten quite frustrated numerous times. And this is my experience from using the Logitech wheel, not a standard PS2 controller.
