Summary: I loved this game and this series it was so much fun. Massive freeroam map and loads of vehicles to mess around with from simple road bikes/cars to tanks to helicopters. Nice selection of weapons too. Who cares about the plot story or character development in an action game like this when your having so much fun shooting and blowing crap up.
Summary: I really don't know how I feel about this game.. Originally I bought the game for $5 (just for the **** and giggles) and was semi disappointed. Really, all I can say is the vehicles in this game are awesome. I had a blast riding around in the monster truck and plowing over my enemys. What makes it even better are the arcade style driving mechanics that offer a crazy taxi sort of feel.
Summary: Take a great action game add Monster energy drink and you've got Mercenaries 2. This game took a route that most games usually go down if the original becomes popular enough. MAKE IT EXTREME!!!! The once cool, low-key characters have become over-blown and over the top cut outs of their former selves. Covered in tattoos and sporting more attitude than necessary this game destroys everything that made the original so great.
Summary: A decent open-world romp WITH A FRIEND. The game nedds to be played in co-op, otherwise it's just another open-world clone. The game has a good level of destructible environments, but this doesn't save it from repetition when play alone. (NB: The servers for the PC version of the game have been shut down by EA and the game is only playable in online mode. However, there is a sever emulator for Mercs2 available online for free that does work (tested).
Summary: Mercenaries 2: -Moderate Storyline+ +Great Gameplay+ +Wonderful Graphics+ -Moderate A.I+ +Good Voice Acting+ -Technical issues- (Glitches, and Bugs) -Frustrating Lack of Support- Mercenaries 2 is not bad, it's horrible to shake the feelings between a friend and an enemy. But, Mercenaries 2 is disappointing.
Summary: What a disappointment, The first game was one of the most entertaining games I've ever played. This one is way to easy, has respawning enemies, adds unnecessary stuff (like collecting fuel), the graphics were actually better on PS2, all the same bugs from the first one remain and more are added! Avoid this one!
Summary: It is more or less exactly the same as the first game, just with better graphics, a few new additions and a different location. There are a ton of glitches and bugs in the game, but luckily I managed to bypass most of the serious ones, so my game went mostly problem free. Overall: While it is more of the same. That isn't a bad thing. The first game rocked and so did this one. Just a real shame they weren't a bit more daring.
Summary: It's one-dimensional, but it doesn't pretend to be anything else. Is it for hardcore gamers? It must not be, because I enjoyed it and I'm a "play it through once and sell it" kind of guy. I don't dispute the criticisms some folks are leveling, but I didn't notice them myself. It's a brainless run-and-gun. You get a mission, you go shoot guys and blow stuff up. That's exactly what I expected.
Summary: The world is not very noteworthy, and some of the gameplay is kind of insignificant, but the destructibility and action of 'Mercenaries 2: World In Flames" is really all you need for an entertaining action experience.
Summary: 8.5-Presentation: The setup is interesting. And the plot is well written and paced. Featuring well flesshed out characters with hilarious and interesting dialogue. The menu's are well laid out. 8.5-Graphics: Beautiful art style, realistic shadowing, excellent explosions, and great textures. The animations are weak though. 7.5-Sound: Voice acting is hit or miss, but the music is excellent and the sound effects are good. 7.5-Gameplay: The actual map design is amazing.
