From there, you witness multiple turning points in the campaign, as you team up with ‘ordinary’ soldiers during your missions. The primary plotline is your search for Japanese gold which has been plundered from invaded cities, which eventually leads to ***SPOILER*** you and others crippling their naval fleet by sinking ...

  • Excerpt: "Medal of Honor : Rising Sun is a pretty basic, but rather good shooter game. The campaign is fun, you can do co-op Campaign which is a very nice feature to the game, but still small storyline. The multiplayer is very very basic, two teams, only Team DeathMatch or Free-For-All, and theres AI, up to 8 persons at the time ( Max of 2 humans, the rest are bots ). The maps are nice but nothing compared the the moderns games, the graphics are pretty poor. ...
  • Pros: Simple controls, Co - op Campaign
  • Cons: Too basic for most peoples, poor graphics, poor sounds, few features .

  • Excerpt: "...on the front cover. The Medal of Honor (MoH) series has been on the go for a number of years, and has produced a series of mostly successful World War 2 themed shooters across a variety of platforms, including one of my favourite PS2 games, Medal of Honor Frontline. It was the great enjoyment that I got from Frontline that has been encouraging me to try out other games in the series in the hope of finding something that catches my imagination as much. ...

  • Excerpt: Medal of Honor Rising sun is a shooter for the Playstation 2 developed by EA games. The games story follows a soldier named Joe Griffin, the game starts off at the Pearl Harbour battle and guides you through the some of the conflicts of World War 2. The gamplay has you and your squad who you sometimes converse with going through various scenarios destroying the Japanese forces aided sometimes by your Japanese ally Tenaka who you grow to like over the course of the game.

  • Excerpt: I had never tried a Medal of Honor game before this and was persuaded to buy it after hearing so many great things about it. There were some things that really did impress me about this game that made me think less about the Call fo Duty series! The game itself is a action, shooter game and I thought that the graphics were actually very good. The graphics I felt really enriched the whole gaming experience and made it much more enjoyable to play.

  • Excerpt: I really enjoy playing the Medal of Honor games but I think they're getting to the point where they're running out of ideas. One thing that keeps frustrating me is the difficulty of it. I had to try around a dozen times to get through a Japanese town level as there were so many soldiers I had to fight. It might be useful to go online and look for a cheat that gives you infinite health, that's what I did. However it's not all bad.

  • Excerpt: Electronic Arts must have reached the point by now where they feel that all they need to do to make a game a success is to stick the words "Medal of Honor" on the front cover. The Medal of Honor (MoH) series has been on the go for a number of years, and has produced a series of mostly successful World War 2 themed shooters across a variety of platforms, including one of my favourite PS2 games, Medal of Honor Frontline.

  • Excerpt: When the original Medal Of Honor burst onto the scene in 1999, it became the mother of all 'sleeper' hits. Not only was it enjoyable, atmospheric and brilliantly designed, it represented one of a very select number of FPS games to have worked effectively on the PlayStation format. With MOH selling well and EA pulling the strings, it was perhaps no great surprise to see the series output upped for the PS2 - four entries having appeared on the console.
