Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne

XboxAddict.com
7 March 2006
  • Excerpt: Remedy and AC/DC have a similar outlook and thats a good thing. If it isnt broke, dont fix it, dont screw around with it, dont monkey with it or mess with it just give us more of the same, and make it a tiny little bit crazier and a little bit louder the next time around. Thats probably why Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne was as enjoyable as it was it was like any good action movie sequel in that it served up more of the same, brought back the familiar characters and...

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne

Playstation Illustrated
4 March 2005
  • Excerpt: The sights and sounds in Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne once again convey the gritty, grimy world of a New York cop who consistently teeters on the edge of the law and reality. If you havent played the first in this series, Max Payne , you are in for a treat, albeit some of the storyline may be lost on you as this is a sequel (so go check out the section called Previously to play catch-up).

  • Conclusion: THE VERDICT: Great storyline, hard-boiled atmosphere, beautifully worked bullet-time shoot-em-up action, an all-new physics engine, dream sequences, unlimited saves and even a new female characters to play add up to a sequel game whose existence, for once, is easy to justify, as it is much, much better than the original and, indeed, one of 2003's best games.

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne

  • Conclusion: The story is told in a similar way to the original, with comic strip style cut screens, and max narrating the story. The story begins at the end, and you play the game as max explains what happened and why. Sadly though his story isn’t long enough, making the game too short, which sadly was the problem with the first, and they haven’t improved on that area.

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne

  • Summary: Zvuky mají tendenci vypadávat a někdy se mi stane že mi něco třeba řekne Mona a Maxova (jeho hlas zůstal stejný jako minule 3x hurá) odpověď slyšet není.
