Summary: I thought this would be good but it is so- so. The reason why is because the controls suck and it is too confusing! Although it gets boring and I hate that there is barely anymore excitement from the crowd if you hit a single. But you hardly even get a home run. It is just better to buy the game on Wii because it makes more sense and that it is funner when you actually swing your arms. Don't get this.
Summary: last years baseball game from 2k studios might fall short of a home run for some, but will be a grand slam for others. If you're looking for a fun pick-up-and-play game, this is a real blast. If you're looking for a true baseball experience with realistic game play and solid graphics, look elsewhere to other baseball series'. Overall, a fun, long lasting baseball experience.
Summary: if you like real baseball games i could tell you a thousand reasons why you should not buy this hideous terrible most worst baseball game ever made. it is the easiest game i have ever played in my life it will not let you throw a ball and if you are a patient batter and don't hack at everything you'll jack it every time terrible awful piece of nothing.
Summary: So I got 2k9 for my ps2. I know I should have gotten it for wii when i have one but ps2 costs less so i took the deal. I start out simply by having an exhibition with the red sox and the yankees. The player's pitching is no problem and easier to do but batting is hard. You have to use the right analog attack an pull it back to prepare a step then you release to swing but timing the ball is what makes it hard. Defense is same old story just decent.
Summary: Major League Baseball 2k9 for lack of better terms just falls into the decent category. It is not a horrible game of ball but if you have a PS2 or PS3 go out and get the Show this year. 2k9 does so many injustices its actually quite funny. I am not sure if it is really a glitch but why does a lot of the instant replays have a horrid camera angle. The batting is good but expect to hit a lot of home runs. Pitching was about the best thing about this game.
Summary: I bought this game on march 19th, it looked real good on the tv advertisement, but soon as I started the game, I was already disappointed, I picked the dodgers, but their were missing several key players, manny ramirez, randy wolf, and orlando hudson, the graphics were above average for a PS2, but most of the players faces did't even look like them, they looked more like blotches of paint on their faces.
Summary: So, I saw the commercial for MLB 2K9 on tv with that pitcher from the San Francisco Giants and his character from the game, and I was impressed. They made it look just like him. So I went to GameStop 2 days ago, and was torn between "The Show 09" and "2k9". I have played "The Show" since it game out and love it, but decided to give "2k9" a try, plus the price was $** less. Well, I found out when they say "you get what you pay for", that saying is true.
Summary: Talk about rushing a game. There are several little things that if you are a fan, you will be annoyed with. Rookies have a faceshot for their player profile, yet a pitcher in his second year in the majors doesn't, but is still in the game? Besides that, there are still plays that the CPU can make that you will never see. They are plays that physically, not even the most fit players could make. Never will you see 5 homers taken away in one game.
