Summary: I really love this game. The graphics aren't great but it is very realistic and enjoyable! You can create your own players, change the skills of other players, trade, bring up players from AA and AAA and change the whole level of the game.
Summary: I am surprised to see so many negative comments about this game. I have been a serious baseball fan for most of my 40+ years and find this an enjoyable and (usually) believable simulation. I have played some classic nail-biting games with my sons - the Bosox and Yanks in particular have produced some memorable moments as one might expect. I enjoy the commentary which is (usually) relevant and sensible.
Summary: The game is an alright game. Cant play it too long cause its the same thing over and over again. It is a simple and not much too it baseball game. I'd encourage you too buy it at a cheap price. The franchise is cool though. you can do a lot of different things in the franchise. Overall, its a good game.
Summary: To begin with, MLB 2K8 is absolutely horrible. They did not make the frames work good and when ur pitching the ball will freeze in midair. If you can deal with the ball freezing in mid air the game is still bad. Once you get down the midair glitch almost every at bat is a homerun. I beat the NL allstars 18-2 on the hardest difficulty.

Summary: Wow this game is terrible!!! Everything about it is so boring and stupid. I don't know if it's just on playstation 2 with the graphics or not but they aren't that good. Then the gameplay controls suck bad I play mlb08 the show and after you play that and then go to the other 2k8 game everything changes the stuff that doesn't matter that much is okay I just don't get it like the sound and stuff is good but graphics, controls and so on are terrible.
Summary: The previous reviews are right about the instruction booklet giving bogus instructions, but that is just the beginning with this sloppy effort. This game is loaded with lazy mistakes that show just how little effort 2K Sports put into this year's edition. The commentators are wrong about 95% of the time (for example, they will say that a player got thrown out trying for a double in his last at bat even if he struck out, homered, etc.).
Summary: This agame is absolutely horrible. The graphics are horrible, but then again after playing the Xbox360, all of them are horrible, and the camera angles are the same. When you are pitching, you take like, a second basemen's point of view instead of the pitchers. Maybe this is just with the red sox, but in franchise mode, the Red Sox season is completely different than what im seeing on tv.
