More of a fun inside joke than a serious video game, but ...

J. J. Stevens, Amazon
27 May 2008
  • Summary: I'll preface this review by saying my reasons for purchasing this game (a year after it came out) were for the sole reason that it features the elusive center-field camera. I am a baseball broadcaster for my college's team and I dream of one day being under the bright lights of an MLB broadcast and...

This game sucks!

Redskins Fan 105, Amazon
27 October 2006
  • Summary: The graphics are horrible! The faces of the players are smushed on their bodies to make it look like they just got ran over by a truck! The pitching is very confusing to figure out. It all depends on when you release the ball when the yellow circle is a certain size. It's so stupid.

2K6 is a disappointment

K. Yang, Amazon
6 May 2006
  • Summary: The graphics are decent but majority of the players DO NOT look what they look like in real life. The roster is not updated even though this game came out after the season started. For example, Coco Crisp is traded to Boston but they still have him as an Indian.

Flush your money down the toilet...

Matthew Schnell, Amazon
6 May 2006
  • Summary: I bought mbl:the show and 2k6, figuring I would compare the two and keep the better one. While "the show" isn't perfect, it will be the one I'm keeping. 2k6 is awful. The announcers are not at all relevant, and the gameplay is horrid.

Fun but gets old fast

E. white, Amazon
6 May 2006
  • Summary: I was hoping to get a bargain when I bought this for 30 dollars. WORST choice of my life. Graphics: 1/10 Batters have faces and a body. Horrid lag between batters, innings, good play highlights, and after strike outs.

Hands down the worst video game I've ever purchased

Justin Ratcliff, Amazon
6 May 2006
  • Summary: I don't even know where to begin with this game. The manual for it is absolutely awful, the main screen user interface is a joke, fielding is a nightmare, the pitcher will throw the ball into the stands even if you simply punch the corresponding button, to speak nothing of setting the breakpoint on...

You Got One Thing Right

Kevin Borris, 1UP
6 May 2006
  • Excerpt: Ok here's what the developers got "right". The name of this video game appropriately describes what the developers attempted to portray as actually occuring on the screen. I am sorry but for those of us who have a High Definition Television, those who have experienced the beautiful technology cannot...

a shame

mel by, 1UP
6 May 2006
  • Excerpt: obviously, this game is better than mvp last ear because it is a 360 game, but cmon, its still not good. They tried to make the players look good, too good. Becuase of this you get a wierd effect that doesnt make them look real at all. from afar they look like 2 dimensional players.

great batting, poor baserunning/fielding = arcadey game

Expane Cables, 1UP
6 May 2006
  • Excerpt: really too bad, if this game had the fielding and baserunning of MVP AND cleaned up the inexcusable AI glitches, roster/commentary/animation bugs [no small task] it could have been a solid 8.5. This really is a shame as the swing stick feels better than any baseball batting I have ever tried.
