Summary: Unfortunately PS2 titles are fast becoming dated however if like me and still enjoy a rattle on your PS2 (if you still have one...) with some games you wont get on next gen consoles then read on... Well what can I say about this game....there has been very mixed reviews but sadly most of them negative. I do tend to pay too much attention to reviews sometimes but occasionaly I buy games on impulse having not reviewed them hence how I ended up playing this one.
Summary: When the game first started I had high hopes - the cutscenes were impressive and the opening scene in the restaurant seemed to run smoothly and look pretty impressive. The game crosses between you playing as a vietnam war veteran and as a member of the mob, the story told through a series of flashbacks. This should work well - however there are a number of mob games that work far better on the PS2 and a number of war games that also play better.
Summary: i really enjoyed this game, this game follows the mafia man joey verola through 17 levels, form the jungle in vietnam to brooklyn in new york.i never really play games like this but this 1 has you hooked, this game has great game play going through various levels shooting the bad guys and figuring out how to do each level is a task in its own. you will come unstuck on this game as the levels progress, but it is hard to stop playing.
Summary: This game is just like alot of shooters, but it is a good game. However i have found that on my brand new slimline ps2 & with a brand new copy of the game that the sound does tend to freeze and get stuck in certain places. Surely this should not happen with a brand new ps2 and brand new copy of the game? Anybody else encountered this? Apart from that i think its a brilliant game.
Summary: Basically this game is like any other shooter but with a few big and helpful differences. The game was written by a real life Mafia expert, with first hand Knowledge of the soldiers and the Dons of a Mafia Famliy. So the game is very realistic to the Mafia. The next very good thing is the fact there is a well written, proper story to the game. The main character, Joey, tells his nephew about his life and as he tells each knew bit - thats the bit you have to play.
