JB Bell, Amazon
11 June 2013
  • Summary: My son collects older versions of Madden football. I purchased this game and the disc never worked in my son's ps2. Very surprised as this is the first product I purchased since I started using Amazon.com that didn't work

Can't really make players do what you want

Citizen John, Amazon
5 September 2011
  • Summary: Madden's NFL game allows us to live out a fantasy of directing a team on the field even if the promise is greater than the delivery. You get to personally see why your plan might or might not succeed, and for that reason many will love this game.

Best MADDEN game ever hands down

S. tripp, Amazon
14 August 2009
  • Summary: It's a shame MADDEN cannot duplicate this for the ps3.... the only thing better on the ps3 madden's are the graphics. The 2005 Madden is the last one that lets you create playbooks and use them in franchise mode. AND it doesn't have the stupid QB vision crap. SMooth gameplay and never gets old.

Madden 2005 vs ESPN NFL 2K5

death gleamer, Amazon
22 June 2005
  • Summary: I wanted a Football game but I couldn't decide which one so I got both. After playing more than 10 games for each title I have to say ESPN NFL 2K5 is better. ESPN has better presentation. Madden's presentation is lame.

The Best Pro Game

Amazon
20 April 2005
  • Summary: Once again, Madden NFL has risen above the competition and has become the best football game of the year. After a great 2004 game, they came out with an even better 2005 game. The defensive controls are sick. You have so many options although I could never activate a double team on one receiver.

20 April 2005
  • Summary: ok people....let's clarify something, I am not here to bash anyone's game. I am simply writing a review with my honest opinion. Upon doing so, I will be comparing Madden to NFL 2K5 since everyone seems to think ESPN has knocked MADDEN off the top. here we go..........

Different this year, but still good

Patrick A Reeves, Amazon
20 April 2005
  • Summary: From Madden 2003 to Madden 2004 I felt like very little changed, and in 2004 we got Franchise Mode. That was fun with all its bells and whistles, but for those of us who only buy one game a year, and play it anxiously for 12 months and awaiting the next installment, it truly only provided for about...

Still Great Madden Quality

Matt Williams, Amazon
20 April 2005
  • Summary: This game definately has its high points, especially all the audible calls at the line of scrimmage. You now can dictate anything you want any player to do on defense with the playmaker function.
