Summary: If you're looking to complete your collection or just want a PS2 game to play, Madden 2005 isn't bad. In a perfect world the offense and game play of Madden 2004 would be merged with the graphics, play moves, and defensive play calling abilities of Madden 2005. That would be a good game regardless of system and year. As it is Madden 2005 is fun, even if dated. If you've played Madden games before you already know the basic controls.
Summary: Madden's NFL game allows us to live out a fantasy of directing a team on the field even if the promise is greater than the delivery. You get to personally see why your plan might or might not succeed, and for that reason many will love this game.
Summary: I bought this game while I was in the Navy stationed in Japan. I've never really been a Madden fan, but decided to buy it because I've heard good things about the Madden series. I tried the game out and actually enjoyed it. Especially the historic teams. Definatly an addition to any Madden fans collection.
Summary: this game was great. It was where they implemented a new moving style than the previous seasons. I would not recommend it bcuz its old as heck and we have 5 succeeding (prob mispelled) editions. Plus I'm at work and just feel like visting WALMART.com to see what i can comment on.
Summary: For the past few years I have been playing Sega's (now ESPN)series of football games and just loved them. This year, I got Sega's offering, that was dirt cheap and it was OK. I'm not into the "crib" scene, but gameplay was great like in previous years. I saw a promo for getting a discount on a wireless remote when you bought Madden 2005 when it came out and went for it. After getting used to the differences, I have become addicted.
Summary: This would be such a fun game if it wasn't nearly impossible to have any kind of running game. I'm playing at "Pro" level, the second easiest level of play, I have a 99 rated running back and a 90 rated offensive line, and I'm averaging 1.7 yards per carry! Too often I don't even make it back to the line of scrimmage after the handoff before being crushed by the defense, even when playing the worst teams in the league.

Summary: I admit it, I have something of an ulterior motive in rating this game so low. It's a good football game, really it is. However, after playing EA Sports titles for the past decade, I've discovered a football game I like much better. Unfortunately, because of EA and the NFL's greed, exclusive rights to NFL licensed products has been granted...meaning we will not get an ESPN NFL 2K6 game. Hence, I will no longer be playing EA titles.
