Summary: I played Madden on the Sega Genesis since 1993 and switched to the PC version when it first came out. This was the one that killed my enjoyment of it. They turned all the play action passes into pitchbacks. I hate pitchbacks.
Summary: My son collects older versions of Madden football. I purchased this game and the disc never worked in my son's ps2. Very surprised as this is the first product I purchased since I started using Amazon.com that didn't work
Summary: I purchased this item for Ray Lewis memorabilia. This item says "New". When i received it in the mail, the paper game box was bent and it showed sticker residue on it, showing stickers were took off. The actual game box itself and game is brand new but not the the outside box. I was expecting the whole thing to be brand new.
Summary: If you're looking to complete your collection or just want a PS2 game to play, Madden 2005 isn't bad. In a perfect world the offense and game play of Madden 2004 would be merged with the graphics, play moves, and defensive play calling abilities of Madden 2005. That would be a good game regardless of system and year. As it is Madden 2005 is fun, even if dated. If you've played Madden games before you already know the basic controls.
Summary: Madden's NFL game allows us to live out a fantasy of directing a team on the field even if the promise is greater than the delivery. You get to personally see why your plan might or might not succeed, and for that reason many will love this game.
