Summary: as far as the gameplay goes nothing has really changed in that the computer still gains 430 total yards despite only managing 6 plays of consequence (typically three passing plays of 45, 75 and your everyday 90 yarder on 3rd and 27, with three running plays of 30, 70 and 80).
Summary: Lets face it, the Madden Football series has been a leading force in all football games made since the early '90s. So why woud this game be any different? I bought this game without every playing it and I was VERY pleased with it.
Summary: It has been a while since I've played a video football game, and I bought this for X-Box. I was completely blown away. The graphics, owner mode, challenging plays, playmaker, creating playbooks, its just endless what you can do with this game. The only thing that I would change are the crowds.
Summary: Madden 2004 is a great game for beginner gamers. But if you are experienced in choosing the plays and making it happen, you want total control. There are a couple of things that i found dissapointing in this game.
Summary: Madden NFL 2004 is a solid game which has improved immensley since last years game which was sort of a dissapointment for me. If you're a football fan and want to get the most descriptive, interactive football game out today, then you should get this game NOW.
Summary: Just when I thought Madden was in danger of being dethroned by Sega Espn Football franchise they offer their 2004 title. This game is so deep, the new owner mode though is what really makes it.
Summary: If you are a fan of Madden football, this is a good game. The main upgrade for this year is the fact that you can really get into controlling the team as the owner, and you can relocate if you have the funds. If you like the GM side of the game, you will love this game.
Summary: Madden 2004 is a solid game. The new features - owner mode, playmaker etc. are a bit overrated (especially create-a-stadium) but they are cool. The graphics are really good, better then last year, and the gameplay is good. The thing that pisses me off, as many others have said, is the AI.
Summary: In Madden 2004 it is the most realistic football game I have ever played. In Madden, you get the most realistic gameplay. I have NCAA on the xbox. In NCAA if you get anywhere near the ball carrier you have him down. Madden is nothing like that. People can knock you off even with a hard blow.
Summary: This game is far worse than Madden 2003. 2004 is too fast paced, you have absolutely no time to react if the QB throws a quick pass. There is no point in trying to run, even when you follow the play exactly how it's drawn up, there is usually a lineman on you before the handoff is even completed.
