Summary: I like to play this game in "coach mode" since I take a more analytic apprach to football. But when Rich Gannon suffers an astounding 27 sacks against the panthers, one has to wonder just how realistic this game is. Certainly if such things were rendered randomly, that many sacks would be very possible. But the game holds outfront that it rates teams by performance in real life...and 27 sacks is rediculous. Such an easy fix EA Sports.
Summary: It has been a while since I've played a video football game, and I bought this for X-Box. I was completely blown away. The graphics, owner mode, challenging plays, playmaker, creating playbooks, its just endless what you can do with this game. The only thing that I would change are the crowds. It would be cool to kind of have a homefield advantage.
Summary: as far as the gameplay goes nothing has really changed in that the computer still gains 430 total yards despite only managing 6 plays of consequence (typically three passing plays of 45, 75 and your everyday 90 yarder on 3rd and 27, with three running plays of 30, 70 and 80). the other 40 comes from the other 50 plays. lovely. but i guess that adds to the charm but it doesn't bother me so much for i just adore the general manager format.
Summary: Madden 2004 is a great game for beginner gamers. But if you are experienced in choosing the plays and making it happen, you want total control. There are a couple of things that i found dissapointing in this game. First of all, on defense, when your defensive backs are covering the recievers, and they go up for an interception, sometimes they move out of they way to intercept it and therefore lets the reciever make the catch instead of your guy.
Summary: Madden NFL 2004 is a solid game which has improved immensley since last years game which was sort of a dissapointment for me. If you're a football fan and want to get the most descriptive, interactive football game out today, then you should get this game NOW. Some of the new features of Madden '04 are...
Summary: Lets face it, the Madden Football series has been a leading force in all football games made since the early '90s. So why woud this game be any different? I bought this game without every playing it and I was VERY pleased with it. The realistic graphics and great gameplay is just like the Electronic Icing on the Electronically Siminated football cake, it's amazing, the moves are so realistic, and some of the stiff arms and juke moves you can make are astounding and worth...
Summary: Just when I thought Madden was in danger of being dethroned by Sega Espn Football franchise they offer their 2004 title. This game is so deep, the new owner mode though is what really makes it. This year armchair quarterbacks can sit in a virtual skybox and act as team owner drafting trading and signing players as in previous years for a 20 yr franchise dynasty added is an ability in off season to work in owner mode.
Summary: If you are a fan of Madden football, this is a good game. The main upgrade for this year is the fact that you can really get into controlling the team as the owner, and you can relocate if you have the funds. If you like the GM side of the game, you will love this game. For the actual gameplay, it is not very different from 2003 Madden. Although the computer can intercept passes like they are going out of style.
With so many great features, 04 stills lurks with bad ones.

Summary: With the newly added Playmaker Control, NEW Owner Mode, and in-season camp, Madden 2004 is still a classic in all football games today. In great need Playmaker Control allows you to re-direct a sweep into the opposite direction before you make the snap. (Instead of wasting time on an Audible). Also on offense, you can change pass plays, and more before and during the play.
Summary: Well its defenitely better than previous maddens but, there are some minor glitches which are preventing madden from being the "perfect game". Here are some positives on madden 2004 1)The new uniform options(eg helmets with holes) are cool 2)Owner mode is defenitly alot of fun for those of us who enjoy the finer details , rather than just playing the on-field game.
