Summary: This game is a waste of money. On the snap there is a bug or a cheat-like motion that freezes up the front line making it a waltz in the park to rush right past the line of scrimmage while the defensive line is frozen. Takes the fun out of the game.
Summary: To cut to the chase, Madden NFL 2004 is the best football video game ever produced (and that includes the '05 and '06 editions of Madden). What makes this game so great? For starters, the graphics are beautiful and accurately depict the real-life NFL stadiums. The sounds is also well-done, with an excellent soundtrack that features a blend of rap/hip-hop, pop, hard rock, and alternative music.
Summary: Perhaps because I purchased NCAA Football 2004 first, I was disappointed with this game. Maybe if I had bought it first, I would have liked it more. The first time I played it, I really wanted my $30.00 back. The second and third time, I at least tolerated it. The game is like the NFL in a lot of ways. Unfortunately. It does, like someone else said, seem "sterile." I like the real college game more also.
Summary: I like to play this game in "coach mode" since I take a more analytic apprach to football. But when Rich Gannon suffers an astounding 27 sacks against the panthers, one has to wonder just how realistic this game is. Certainly if such things were rendered randomly, that many sacks would be very possible. But the game holds outfront that it rates teams by performance in real life...and 27 sacks is rediculous. Such an easy fix EA Sports.
Summary: It has been a while since I've played a video football game, and I bought this for X-Box. I was completely blown away. The graphics, owner mode, challenging plays, playmaker, creating playbooks, its just endless what you can do with this game. The only thing that I would change are the crowds. It would be cool to kind of have a homefield advantage.
Summary: This was the best football game ever. It is so much fun. Compared to the other ones its the best. If you liked the fotball games you will love Madden NFL 2004. It is so cool. You have all lot options to chose from in the game. Buy this game.
Summary: as far as the gameplay goes nothing has really changed in that the computer still gains 430 total yards despite only managing 6 plays of consequence (typically three passing plays of 45, 75 and your everyday 90 yarder on 3rd and 27, with three running plays of 30, 70 and 80). the other 40 comes from the other 50 plays. lovely. but i guess that adds to the charm but it doesn't bother me so much for i just adore the general manager format.
Summary: Madden 2004 is a great game for beginner gamers. But if you are experienced in choosing the plays and making it happen, you want total control. There are a couple of things that i found dissapointing in this game. First of all, on defense, when your defensive backs are covering the recievers, and they go up for an interception, sometimes they move out of they way to intercept it and therefore lets the reciever make the catch instead of your guy.
Summary: Madden NFL 2004 is a solid game which has improved immensley since last years game which was sort of a dissapointment for me. If you're a football fan and want to get the most descriptive, interactive football game out today, then you should get this game NOW. Some of the new features of Madden '04 are...
