Summary: ok, this is the best football game i have ever played. ive played madden 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and i think that 2003 is the best. ive never really played madden football games before my friend got 2004 for his xbox, i thought it was pretty awsome, so i went online to find a madden game. first i rented 2002 and i was pleased with it, then i found 2003 real cheap for the PS2 so i bought it, and all in all i think madden 2003 is the best madden game u can get.
Summary: After reading so many reviews, I decided to purchase both of these games to see for myself who is the best. Here is my Break down. This applies only to the PS2 platform! GRAPHICS: Hands down, Madden has 2K3 beat in this category. You can see some kind of resemblance of the actual players to their real life counter parts. The mechanics of the players are very impressive as well as the players eye movement. In 2K3 all the players look just about the same.
Summary: This game is awesome. All the options, the updated rosters, The new stadiums, the fact that the kickers are left-footed (unlike Madden 2002 on PS1), EVERYTHING. This game rocks. Don't waste your money on some Sega product [stuff] like NFL 2K3 and certainly not some piece of [stuff] where everything and I mean EVERYTHING is how it shouldn't be with NFL Blitz 20-03. In my opinion Madden will Rule NFL Blitz's and NFL 2k's ...4ever.
Summary: By far, the best sports video game ever made. None of the other football games even compare. If you are heavy into the NFL, you will love this game. Every year it gets better and better. We can only imagine what EA Sports will bring to the table this year. When they say "It's in the game" they mean it. Down to sweat bands and breath-rite strips, if it's used by the player in real life, he's using it. If the stadium has it, it's there.
Summary: Madden gets better every year. This game is awesome, the graphics, the gameplay, everything is on-point. This is a great game to play to have fun with your friends, but the Franchise mode is the best part of the game everything is very realistic (Salary-Cap penalties, Sports Agents, player progression).
Summary: Not alone is this the best football game ever made, I think it is the best game out there for PS2(sports fan or not). Come one, I mean think about it. Create your own team, create a player, franchise, practice mode,2 minute drilling system. This game packs it all. I've went through 5 franchises and I still will not stop until Madden 2004. I would like to reccomend this game to everybody.......
Summary: I bought this game when it first came out. I went home and played it and my first reaction was WOW. This game has several improvements. My favorite is the mini-camp mode which is good for begginners to learn how to play and for experts to master there skills. The game is also great because you can play online with other madden players. Then there is the new moves running backs and everybody has several new moves in the game which is also a great improvement.
Summary: I only began playing the Madden Franchise last year. I own both 2002 and 2003 and I must say, I can't knock either but 2003 did make some significant improvement in the gameplay. One of my biggest complaints about 2002 has been nicely fixed, which was the difficulty of rushing. It was near impossible on All Madden, regardless of your HB to gain over 50 yards a game. I heard this complaint from many Madden 2002 fans.
Summary: With the exception of an utterly confusing combine system, the point of which I still havent figured out, this version is hands down the best ever. The Good: 1) They implemented a challenge system, that unlike last years braindead version is INTELLIGENT and at times dramatic. The officials will miss calls from time to time that can swing a game and its up to the player to maintain a sufficient level of awareness to pick it up and throw the red flag.
