Excerpt: "...was first introduced to the Madden franchise, in particular this game I was doubtful to say the least. At first I thought that my doubts had been proven correct until bang! I selected a running play and ran 70 yards for the touch down. From that moment I have been hooked. The vast selection of plays seems daunting but the helpful "ask Madden" feature is very useful for beginners. Once you get a few games under your belt you begin to select your favourite ...
Pros: The compulsive addictivness and superb commentry plus the exceptional franchise feature
Cons: Limited in its origonality and not everybodies cup of tea
Excerpt: "The Madden genre generally makes tacet improvements from year to year without making too many changes. Sure, they might add a graphic or two, or make a few game changes to keep the junkies excited, but generally speaking they didn't make a lot of changes. That all changes this year with the addition of Owner Mode. Now in the Franchise mode an player can control all facets of the game -- ticket prices, concessions, even parking... Keep the fans ...
Pros: Superb graphics, OWNER MODE, realistic feel, best game in the genre
Cons: AI is sometimes very predictable, online section needs work
Summary: This game is awesome. All the options, the updated rosters, The new stadiums, the fact that the kickers are left-footed (unlike Madden 2002 on PS1), EVERYTHING. This game rocks. Don't waste your money on some Sega product [stuff] like NFL 2K3 and certainly not some piece of [stuff] where everything and I mean EVERYTHING is how it shouldn't be with NFL Blitz 20-03. In my opinion Madden will Rule NFL Blitz's and NFL 2k's ...4ever.
Summary: The Madden series has built a great reputation for itself and this game upholds it.It has put together the good old features features and supported it with superb new features such as create-a-playbook and a 30 year long franchise mode.Mini camp is another sick game mode that allows you to go from city to city in maddens bus. There isn't a feature a feature in this game I didn't like but if I had to pick a fault it would be that Al Micheal and John Madden spit out random...
Summary: This game is absolutly amazing. If EA put the attention to detail into Fifa that they do in Madden then people would realise the greatness of EA. I really love American football and thus know all the rules, however if you don't know the rules then the game does alot about that. Firstly there is the Football 101 feature which teaches you al about the formations and plays and makes all the X's and O's make sense.
Summary: There are many in-depth options that can be used in Madden NFL 2003. These include: Create a team: See also create a player. Create a player: Full depth on appearance and stats Create a playbook: Add up to 81 plays from existing playbooks and also create your own plays in full detail. No stone left unturned. Franchise: Trade players and sign free agents. Play for 30 years!
Summary: I haven't owned one of the Madden American Football games since it first came out on the Megadrive all those years ago and if this is anything to go by I've sure missed out. Madden 2003 is a fantastic game for both lovers and loathers of the sport. It has excellent visuals and gameplay and is extremely enjoyable. It features varying levels of difficulty and, for amateurs like me, offers an easy-play mode to take some of the mystery out of the sport.
Summary: I don't like watching American Football and before Madden 2001 I had a very vague and incorrect concept of what all these over padded men were doing on something that resembled a rugby pitch with what looked certain to be a rugby ball. However,on playing EA's 2001 version I was hooked (although I still don't watch it on TV). It is a very in depth, tactical and addictive game with some amazing visuals.
Summary: Madden NFL 2003 is the 13th (count 'em) incarnation of the series across various platforms. I'd bought the first on the Megadrive way back when and hadn't revisited the series since, so I was curious as to the advancements made. It's come on a ways since then! The format of the game is still familiar, if you're on offence you pick your attacking formation, snap the ball to the quarterback and pick which player you pass or throw to.
Summary: This another of the excellent games that have been made by EA Sports and Madden himself. With the new modes such as 2 minute drills, mini camp and the option of being able to buy Madden cards which give you the upper edge in a game. Superb and even if you don't like American Football I think that you will still love this. From Offence to Defence this game is the best I have played for a very long time.
