Summary: I've never liked the Madden series and I used to not like the 2k Series. I was stuck playin NFL Fever on Xbox. Then when that got bought out, I went to ESPN and fell in love with the 2k5 Version. Then EA sports did something that flat out should be illegal. Isnt that a monopoly or whatever? ESPN 2k5 will be the game I continue to play until EAs contract runs out. ESPN is smoother, more realistic, and just quite frankly a more fun game to play.
Summary: Madden 2006 has one major major flaw, which is QB vision. It is nearly impossible to pass to different recievers while in the pocket or on the run and/or get off quick passes on blitzs etc. Poorly thoughtout operations and too many buttons to press. When you disable this mode in non-online play there is still a spot light that shows where the pass is intended to be, which ruins the fun of playing since it gives your defense an idea where the ball will be.
Summary: I waited on-line at midnight to get this Madden. I tweaked the rosters, adjusted the players' numbers, then started playing. The best thing one can say about the QB Vision control is that you can immediately turn it off. Too bad every time on defense you have to watch the computer use it.
Summary: Wow, this game is really a major disappointment. I can't say I'm surprised, however. Basically, nothing has been updated. Graphics, presentation, tackle animations, etc-- all the same. The QB vision cone thing is stupid. It just allows you to be sacked more often and if you run a draw play or a delayed handoff it is painfully obvious to the defense.
Summary: I recently ordered this game with high expectations. I have enjoyed the rest of the madden series hugely and was very excited when it came. Unfortunately, i was dissapointed. I traded it in to the local game store within 2 days because i was so fed up. The game has bad graphics. The create a player is incredibly stupid and simplistic. And the rest of the modes are either untouched ro ruined. And the QB visionis the nail in the coffin.
