Conclusion: Excellent game. Think of Final Fantasy but Lord of the Rings style. Took me about 12 hours to finish which is not too bad for a movie tie in. If you like your RPGs and Lord of the Rings you shouldn't be disappointed.
Summary: If you're looking for the same game like the two film tie ins then you're looking in the wrong place. Like many reviewers who have bought this game thinking that, you may be disappointed. I actually prefer strategy RPGs over the usual hack n slash but it seems most don't.

Summary: It's a good game even though it doesn't follow the Lord of the Rings story so much, but anyway i'll start off with the bad things. The enemies are too annoying, when i was playing the Helms Deep level, they repeatedly kept attacking me until my characters died.
Summary: This is a turn based RPG that follows the story of a group who aren't the Fellowship of the Ring, but who are active at the same time in some of the same places. I liked the idea that you were playing an alternative group of heroes.

Summary: As the title suggests, I think this is, overall, a good game. Having skill points to spend on each of your characters means you can play to their strengths, but it can be confusing if you've only just started and don't know what their strengths are...
