Summary: A bit of Commodore-64 nostalgia prompted me to buy this for my son. It still gets a lot of play, which is impressive considering the number of games he owns. There's something about trying to stop the lemmings from plunging to their squeaky deaths that is endearing and irresistible.
Excerpt: Back in the day i would play lemmings on my Sega mega drive. The unique gameplay of guiding stupid little green haired things to a safe exit was a shockingly entertaining thing to do. It was also fun to watch it all go wrong, and either see your little green people meet their maker by getting set of fire, or falling in a pit, or even killing them yourselves with a self implode button! Much of this great gameplay was carried over onto the PS2 version of the game.
Excerpt: Do Lemmings like cliffs? Sod that - do Cliffs like Lemmings? That's what I want to know. To this end, I've spent some of Sunday afternoon perched on my bed, laptop resting on my knee, Googling various strings along the lines of "Lemmings review author Cliff" and "Lemmings by Cliff" and "Sodding BY Cliff not GETTING OFF".
This is a good game thats excellent when you want something different.

Excerpt: Nostalgia and retro time again with everyone's favourite little suicide machines. I remember my friend John getting this for the Amiga back in the day. Simple in it's design this little strategy/puzzle game. I was pretty excited when I got a hold of this because I wasn't sure what the PS2 could do for it. I always liked the Worms games and they'd been cut from the same cloth.
Summary: This is a hard game to rate because of one thing. If you have ever bought a previous lemmings game - you have almost all the levels. Each time the lemmings game comes out, they bring out all the originals levels again and therefore while we have better graphics (you can see them without the little creatures being blurry) you have the original games 120 levels. I've bought lemmings on Sega Master System, PS1 and now PS2 and I'm getting a bit annoyed with it.
Excerpt: If you haven't heard of lemming you have to have been living under a rock for the last 20 years. Lemmings was one of the first games made for the computer and has sparked the release of this new remake for the PS2. Theres no doubt that the nostalgic element has helped sales, but none the less it has earnt its legendary status.

Excerpt: Lemmings – The all time classic. Starting up in 1991 and originally containing 120 levels, Lemmings was – and still is one of the most popular and recognised games! I remember playing this on my PC when I was a wee annoying child, I used to get so frustrated but at the same time was fascinated with the little bogies (that’s what I thought they where) with legs. You can now get it on many different machines including the PSP, PS2, PC and even your mobile phone!
