Summary: Never played the first. Tried but too old school for me I guess. Duel Saga was fun. Won't say it compares to FF games but it was solid. Enemies are tough when entering new areas. Art combat is interesting. Enemy Bosses are entertaining. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys turn based RPGs. Sure there's better but there are many worst. Not a waste of time at all.
Better graphics and battle system, but story isn't there

Summary: I loved the first game, even though it had it's own faults, but this game still isn't as good. The battle system is better in this game and graphics too, but the story is less than the first one. The first game didn't have a great story either, but this one isn't good at all. I got confused to what was the whole point in fighting and playing the game, I just knew that there was a bad guy and take over the world stuff, but no real details stuck in my mind.
Summary: Overall I own about 70 ps2 games, and a vast majority of them are rpg's. Legend of of Legaia 2 is definitely in my top 10 list. This game didn't get much attention when it came out. Frankly that is a shame because many people missed out on a unique and quite challenging game. The story is about average as far as rpg's go. What really makes this game stand out for me is the great battle system and the stunning music.
Summary: It's important to remember that although this game has "Legaia" in the title, it is not a direct sequel to "Legend of Legaia"; the characters and world setting are completely different. Keeping that in mind, it's still an enjoyable game on its own terms and has alot of good points going for it. Graphics (score 9/10): Legaia 2 doesnt have the most amazing PS2 graphics ever - but it still looks polished and pleasing to the eye. No complaints here.
Summary: I have been waiting for the second game for about a year now and I like it very much. It's almost like the first one. my only frustration is I don't get to physically fight the monster and bosses. I liked the first one and I like this one too.
Summary: Duel Saga is the second game in the Legaia series, and probably the last, which is unfortunate. While unassuming and more than a little derivative of its bigger brothers (Final Fantasy, Suikoden, etc.), it manages to be a very entertaining game with few grievous faults and a lot to like. Sad to say, longer playing RPGs are viewed with an inordinately critical eye. With the result that playable games often get sentenced to the bargain heap ahead of their time.
Summary: The Original Legend of Legaia on the PSX was everything an RPGer could dream of. A unique battle system, lots of difficulty and a good storyline too. When I heard of the sequel, I waited and waited and when it finally got here it was very well done and the battle system was even refined. But the game didn't have that great storyline and the difficulty that the first one gave off was lost. But this was made up for with tons of sidequests and great character developement.
Summary: Well I must say, when I didn't know anything but the title of the game I thought, 'Wow I wonder what Vahn Noa and Gala will be like' or something.....But to my disappointment, so far, there is no one from "Legend of Legaia" in "Legaia 2"....Which is what I'm most disappointed about. Some of the phrases (what they say when they win a battle) are....um....stupid...I mean really, if Kazan wins a battle sometimes he says, "Ha Ha, You made me thirsty.
