Summary: The Good: well written story of a girl with a never-there father taken to another world to save her step brother, multiple gameplay (surfing, gliding, platforming, puzzling, collection, combo fighting, and sneaking), great graphics of various enemies, wildlife, and environments, good controls with tutorials, impressive soundtrack.
Summary: I don't understand how this game has so many good reviews and nothing under 3 stars. I've hated playing this game, it's horrible. I don't know what was worse, the ridiculously difficult tasks you had to do (there were countless parts I had to repeat at least 30 times just to pass, and I'm not bad at video games) or the fact the controls were horrendous. I'd hit the jump button and half the time the stupid character wouldn't jump.
Summary: I bought this game because it was on a list of best underrated games. Once I got the game I was blown away buy how pretty the world is, very colorful and alive (lots of things moving for a PS2 game). Kya can purchase and learn lots of moves and items that help you reach new areas and fully explore others. There are plenty of mini games and a lot of level variety. The level design is incredibly cool and creative. The story is fun and the characters are all pretty cool.
Summary: I've had this game for about 7 years now and i'll never get sick of it. Being a 15 year old girl i am very picky about action-adventure games. The story line pulls you right in at the first cut scene and that fact the protagonist is a heroine makes me even happier. Basically your finding pieces of a medalion to transport your brother and yourself back home. But of course you have to rescue your brother first and along the way excercize Wolfen back to their Native form.
Summary: I've had this game for about 7 years and i'll never get sick of it. Being a 15 year old girl it's hard to find a perfect action-adventure game out there for i am very picky about the story line, combat controls and the graphic designs. The story line pulls you in from the first cut scene,i love it. But the ending dose leave you with a cliff-hanger extending the story to Kya2, which is very depressing because there isn't one which is why i give gameplay an 8.
Conclusion: I disagree, I LOVE Kya Dark Lineage. I think the graphics were fantastic, especially for it’s time, I think the battles are fun and never get old. Kya always had something new to add that allowed the game to be interesting, new weapons, abilities or enemies. The mini games aren’t all that great, I don’t pay too much attention to those, I do agree with that. There isn’t too much of a plot either, that is true.
