Summary: I've played the other versions of Knockout Kings on other systems (PS, N64, etc.), so I just thought that this game would simply be a graphically enhanced version of the other games. But it's much much more than that. For starters, the graphics are top notch. The differet knockdown animations, the way that the faces of the fighter change throughout the fights, and the textures of the boxers themselves are simply awesome. Graphically, this game has no weakness at all.
Summary: This was the first ps2 game I got. It is great fun at first, but it gets boring rather quickly. Knockout Kings 2000 is just as good, with the exception of the graphics. Nothing compares to the ps2! Rent it first and make sure you really like it. It's not for casual boxing fans.
Summary: The graphics are very good, especially the tattoos and hairstyles of the various boxers. There are lots of real boxers in here, including (to my surprise) a local boxer in my area named Diego Corrales. There is a wide range of music to choose from to be your entrance music, and all sorts of "attitudes" you can choose from. The AI is better than the original, as now the opponent knows when to avoid you at all costs and knows when to trade blows.
Summary: Knockout Kings for ps2 is not perfect, but it is the best boxing game I have ever played. Only problems with the games is, the loading time. If you are playing career mode, the loading time between rounds seems like a waste of time. The create a boxer could be a little more detailed orientated, and if Mike Tyson and Felix Trinidad was included, that game would be 5 stars.
Summary: Boxing hits PS2 with a bang. This game is excellent. Its got lots of real boxers and even Mills Lane stepping into do some reffing. EA sports has looked into every little detail. The boxers look great even thier faces look just like them. They also show damage over time by bruising and some times cuts even open up and blood gushes as you get hit. The new combo system is the best in any boxing game ever which adds lots of depth to gameplay.
Summary: EA Sports did a good job with this game but it could have been better. First some positives...the game is very realistic. It has real boxers, cornermen, and referees. The game has fighters in every weight-class including the women. The punches need to be timed and you just cannot go into the ring versus a good opponent and start pushing buttons. The crowd looks good and the graphics are terrific. The movement of the boxers is also realistic.
Overall a good game i would recommend that u buy the game
18 February 2001
Summary: Almost everything about this game is perfect but in career mode when creating ur guy u should be able to have more adavanced commands for the looks and u should be able to go as many fights as u want not only 22 fights. The gameplay is AWESOME in this game it is hard and just like fights in real life. The graphics are pretty good but they could be better. I think this is the BEST boxing game made for any system which i own all of them.
