Really fun game, a bit frustrating for a game newbie

Summary: I am a 65 year old grandma and I love this game. As my daughter says, it is crazy. You start rolling around a ball which picks up stuff as it rolls. You have to get it to a certain size within the allotted time.
Summary: You will be shocked when you see how crappy the intro scenes are, almost feeling as if someone has stung you on recommending Karamari Damacy, but once you start pushing that ball around the place with objects sticking to it as it builds up in size to eventually have houses and football pitches...
Completely unique, a world of its own, incredibly imaginative

Summary: This is exactly what I look for in a video game. The premise and the gameplay itself are so much fun and so deliciously weird, and it's something I would've never imagined myself in a million years.
Summary: The game is simple to understand, challenging for all ages, and has a really fun soundtrack. This game, as well as it's sequal We (heart) Katamari are fun examples of game designers thinking outside of the traditional box and coming up with a game that is both original and addictive.
Summary: Katamari Damacy's appeal is hard to explain to people who haven't played it already. "What do you DO in this game??" asked my father-in-law, another dedicated gamer, when he heard rumors that I was glued to the PS2. "Um, you roll this ball around and get stuff stuck to it.
Summary: If you watch anime, you might have some idea of what to expect from Katamari Damacy. Though even that won't fully prepare you. A huge planet-sized dude with a rolled-up carpet for a head called the King of All Cosmos accidentally destroys all the stars.
Summary: How in the world could rolling a ball around and having junk stick to it be FUN? Well, if you add in a crazy soundtrack, oddball graphics, and what seems to be a purposefully terrible translation of the original Japanese text, you get one of the most quirky and enjoyable games in years.
Summary: This might be one of the strangest games on the PS2.In the case of Katamari, strange is a good thing, because this game is great.I read articles about this game before I bought it and read that the developers were worried this game would not sell well in North America.Boy,were they wrong!
Summary: Katamari Damacy is one of the best games I have played in while. I am generally a pc gamer that plays primarily RTS's and FPS's. These games all sorta seem the same after the while. This game takes a crazy concept (rolling around a ball) and collecting stuff and makes it fun.
Summary: I love this game! I typically love puzzle-type games like Devil Dice, Bombastic and Tetris and I love Katamari Damacy! It's great for kids because the controls are easy and the objects that you pick up are funny to see. Plus, doesn't everyone love miniature stuff?
