Ico by Sony

Game Monkeys
5 March 2013
  • Summary: I'll admit it. I didn't think I was going to enjoy this game. When I first heard about it, I thought- "Eh, just a puzzle game." Then I loaded the game up and was completely blown away. The graphics are exquisite, the gameplay is simple yet fun.
  • Pros: Excellent puzzles, graphics to drool over.
  • Cons: A paper-thin story, no replayability factor.

ICO

Fragland
25 May 2012
  • Excerpt: A few weeks ago, the mailman delivered a package from Sony. Once I opened the wrapping I saw a tower-shaped box with in it a real candle and the game cd for ICO. I don’t know why, but the appearance on how Sony presented the game to me made me know that I was going to be in for a special treat.

30 May 2010
  • Excerpt: ICO is a game that received massive attention from the gaming media as well as those who are truly passionate about games. Unfortunately titles like ICO aren’t welcomed by the more casual player (it doesn’t feature guns, breasts, vulgar language or exhausts), so the attention it received did not...

  • Excerpt: Videogames as art is a debate that has been brought up many times, with varying results. Some say that bringing artistry into video games can deny their primary function as entertainment, while others argue that video games must evolve as an art form to be taken more seriously as a medium in...

ICO

Playstation Illustrated
8 November 2004
  • Excerpt: ICO is, without a doubt, one of the most gorgeous games I've seen on the PS2, if not the most beautiful. This doesn't come from a polygon count of either the environment or the characters--undoubtedly, Final Fantasy X sports more in both categories--but from the sheer artistry of the title, the way...

ICO

Game Over Online
2 October 2004
  • Excerpt: I came to play Sony’s ICO through word of mouth. The whispers began at E3 and grew to full out acclaim when the game was released this past fall. So when a copy of ICO came across my desk, I jumped at the opportunity to experience the adventure for myself. That was two months ago.
