Excerpt: I came to play Sony’s ICO through word of mouth. The whispers began at E3 and grew to full out acclaim when the game was released this past fall. So when a copy of ICO came across my desk, I jumped at the opportunity to experience the adventure for myself. That was two months ago.
Summary: I'll admit it. I didn't think I
was going to enjoy this game. When I first heard about it, I thought-
"Eh, just a puzzle game." Then I loaded the game up and was completely
blown away. The graphics are exquisite, the gameplay is simple yet fun.
Pros: Excellent puzzles, graphics to drool over.
Cons: A paper-thin story, no replayability factor.
Excerpt: A few weeks ago, the mailman delivered a package from Sony. Once I opened the wrapping I saw a tower-shaped box with in it a real candle and the game cd for ICO. I don’t know why, but the appearance on how Sony presented the game to me made me know that I was going to be in for a special treat.
Excerpt: ICO is a game that received massive attention from the gaming media as well as those who are truly passionate about games. Unfortunately titles like ICO aren’t welcomed by the more casual player (it doesn’t feature guns, breasts, vulgar language or exhausts), so the attention it received did not...

Excerpt: ICO is, without a doubt, one of the most gorgeous games I've seen on the PS2, if not the most beautiful. This doesn't come from a polygon count of either the environment or the characters--undoubtedly, Final Fantasy X sports more in both categories--but from the sheer artistry of the title, the way...
Excerpt: The opening cinema shows a young boy named Ico, with horns growing from the side of his head, on horseback being led through the forest by a group of faceless soldiers. They eventually come to an immense, decaying fortress that lies upon the sea, and the lad is brought inside.
Excerpt: ICO is a rarity in the gaming world: a game which is visually impressive that provides an excellent gaming experience unmarred by poor controls or weak gameplay. Ico is a young boy who has the poor fortune of being born with horns.
Pros: Awesome ambiance, Puzzles are intelligently done, Simple controls/excellent gameplay, Enemy AI is pretty good
Excerpt: The story of ICO is as follows: A young boy named ICO is locked away in a chamber inside a faraway castle as a sacrifice for being born with horns. In a lucky twist of fate, he breaks from his bindings and shortly afterwards run into Yorda, a strange girl who speaks a foreign tongue.
