Summary: First off, let me say it, this game rules. Second, to EA: Your constant dragging...baseball games have forced me to go with the 'ol 3DO, who's games aren't as detailed but still manage to satisfy even the most tough to please gamer. It obviously seems that the folks at EA don't care about satisfying baseball fans, they care about graphics. High Heat has changed my outlook entirely on baseball games.
Summary: I think that High Heat is the best baseball game on the market. Last year I had Triple Play and this year I wanted it again until I stumbled onto this game. It has very veeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrry realistic gameplay great stadium graphics and excellent pitcher batter interface. The only thing that I dont like about this game is that the scoreboard is not in realtime and some of the faces of the players could use some work.
Summary: This game is a solid game. bought it based on reviews, if you are looking for a realistic game and are not concerned with graphics, this is it. I don't even notice the graphics which aren't that bad. Higher levels of the game are tough, stat lines are very deep. games are 30 minutes tops, and stats are normal, not over the top like Triple play. haven't tried the 2 on 2 but sounds ok. Only con is the rosters and schedule, schedule is not up to date 2002 season.
Summary: I am the master rater. I've played Triple Play, allstar baseball and High heat. high heat was by far the best. I love it. Don,t let yourself down by buying Triple play or allstar, they stink. Please buy high heat. the graphics are okay but the gameplay is awsome. I bought the game 2 days ago and couldn't get off my luxurios PS2. Ive been playing for 52 hours straight. The only reason i got off was to write this review, and after this i'll go back to playing.
Summary: High Heat Baseball has always been an easy to understand game with perfect rosters, gameplay, and graphics. You always have fun playing or watching a computerized game. You'll play for hours and hours and never stop. Many great features of the game is when the oponent hits a homer, the home team will throw the ball back! There are also real ejections, face expressions, and not that it matters, but a realistic looking crowd.
