Summary: Heroes of the Pacific Story The story starts on pearl harbour on the 7th December when you are told to take off immediately to defend the skies above your base and all of the battleships moored on battleship row. From here you will fight your way though the war to get revenge on the enemy while going though historic battles and having dues against the 13th squadron.
Summary: This is a great game to play, especially if you are multitasking. While the game takes forever to load (EVERY menu has tto load seperatley, with load times ranging from 1-3 minutes, game load from 5-8 minutes) it is a fun play. I would not suggest it to anyone who is looking for realisim though, as balistics and aerodynamics are way way off.
Summary: At first I didn't like it too much because it was quite a bit harder to fly than planes in Secret Weapons Over Normandy, but you'll get it. The one part of flying that's totally unrealistic is when you stall because the plane drops like a brick...you can get out of a full stall, but you must be over 3'000 ft to have a chance, but the low-performance fighters are the worst, once you earn the Corsair, you should never have this problem.
Summary: A great ace combat/flight simulation/action game, especially for those World War II history buffs out there. And if you're a particular fan of the war in the Pacific theatre, you will truly enjoy this game! The details, graphics and historical content of this game are pretty authentic, and lend an added aire of excitement and enthusiasm to it's play. The instructions and controls are fairly straight-forward and easy to understand; i.e.
Summary: If you are looking for a fun ww2 airplane game this is it what it lacks in grapics it makes up for in gameplay it does everything it says on the game case then some I don't know what I would have done with it!
Summary: I paid about 20$ for this game brand new in the case sealed and i was practricly standing on my mail box waiting for it. When i got it, to my suprise, instead of playing for hours without blinking, it did not work...... it loaded up to the menus and that alone was why i gave it 1 star... before the campaign it just stayed on the loading screen for maby an hour and i just gave up on it.....dont buy this game!
Summary: I agree with all who said that the game is WAY TOO HARD! I hold a private pilot license and have also flown radio control planes for over 25 yrs so I know what I am saying when I say that the flight charateristics AND the campaign goals are rediculously difficult even in the "rookie" mode. The game may have some possitive value for those who know where and how to get cheats or who enjoy doing the same level 25-30 times and still not advancing but I am not one of those.
Summary: It's either "Heroes of the Pacific" (HOP) or "Secret Weapons over Normandy" (SWON). Both have plenty of weak points. HOP has more realistic control of your airplane than SWON, but some of the missions are just ridiculously huge. It's like taking on the entire Japanese air force on your own in a few of them. One mission's secondary objective is to shoot down 100 enemy planes! And of course you have an unlimited amount of ammo, rockets, bombs, fuel, and torpedoes.
