Heroes of Might and Magic: QFTBS

Into Liquid Sky
27 October 2001
  • Excerpt: For those who don't know, HOMM:QFTBS is a spiritual remake of the Sega Genesis game, Kings Bounty . In this version for the PS2, you are commissioned by the Queen to find the Bone Staff before the king dies (or something like that). In your search, you must recruit troops, fight villains, siege castles, and even rent a boat to get from one place to another.
  • Pros: Character and monster design fairly decent, Battles easy to pick up
  • Cons: Loading times for button actions, Battles are mostly slugfests, Story? What story?, Rest of graphics are underdeveloped

Heroes of Might and Magic: Quest for the DragonBone Staff

Playstation Illustrated
12 July 2001
  • Excerpt: To be honest, Heroes of Might and Magic: Quest for the DragonBone Staff (let's just call it Heroes , or HoMM , okay? That title is just plain silly) is not exactly a major contender in the graphics department. While it runs at a very solid framerate and in high resolution, the world is very drab and uninspiring, consisting of simple blocks of mountains, forests, and deserts, with the occasionally mildly impressive castle towering over the countryside.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Quest for the DragonBone Staff – Review

GameCritics.com
4 July 2001
  • Excerpt: Heroes Of Might And Magic: Quest For The DragonBone Staff has got to be in the running for one of the longest game titles ever released. Ironically, for something with such a grandiose title, the latest release from 3DO Studios (created by New World Computing) didn't even hold my interest as long as it took me to say the whole name. Honestly, sometimes I wonder how a publisher/studio like 3DO is even still in business.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Quest for the DragonBone Staff

TotalPlayStation.com
7 June 2001
  • Excerpt: is the latest in a long line of successful titles based off of the hit Might and Magic series first introduced back in 1984 by New World Computing. This is 3DO's second Might and Magic game for the PlayStation 2 and it's a darned good one at that. The graphics are not jaw dropping, but as is the case with most strategy games, this really doesn't matter. In the end, it's the quality of the gameplay that counts.

Heroes of Might and Magic : Quest for the DragonBone Staff

JeuxVideo.fr
26 July 2001
