don't waste your money

  • Summary: It's not often that I regret spending a mere $5 on a game...but this game really makes me want my $5 back. The graphics are cheesy (worse than some ps1 games), the dialogue is corny, the music and sound effects are irritating. I found myself muting the volume at times to make gameplay more tolerable. Some levels are ridiculously easy, some are ridiculously hard. There's no real climbing skill level.

This game had potential, but...

  • Summary: Haven takes your typical platformer and turns it into a string of mini-games. This could have been cool if it was done right. You transition seamlessly between say, driving a boat, to putting out fires while flying with a rocketpack, to fighting a lava monster, to rolling down a path Super Monkey Ball-style. However, there are some big problems. First of all, the graphics. The characters are ugly and poorly designed, and the animation isn't much.
