.hack//INFECTION PS2 Review

Console Obsession
1 June 2010
  • Excerpt: I’ve saved the world from the brink of annihilation countless times in RPGS, making me wonder if originality would ever exist in any RPG plots ever again. .Hack//INFECTION, the first instalment of a four part RPG series, proves that it does. The game simulates a MMORPG (Massively multiplayer online RPG) and has you playing as Kite, a character in an online game known as The World.

.hack Infection

RPG LAND
27 May 2003
  • Excerpt: .hack got an aweful lot of .hype before its release. I for one, was mighty excited to get this game. However, in the end, I was left with somewhat of a bitter taste, as the game was not everything I had hoped for.

Expert Review

PSX Extreme
10 March 2003
  • Excerpt: Imagine, if you will, deciding to spend time with a friend online playing an RPG. Your friend is pretty well-known in the online RPG world and has promised to show you the ropes. You meet up with him, learn the basics of the game, and then meet up with a terrifying monster that your friend swears is not supposed to be in the area that you're exploring.

HonestGamers
17 February 2003
  • Excerpt: All those times you played MMORPGs with your friends, do you recall thinking to yourself how cool the game would be if those other people weren't involved and you could go it alone? Remember thinking it would be sweet to receive e-mails from a computer rather than your best online pal? Neither do I. But apparently, Bandai decided to honor the request gamers never made, and now we get to experience the first MSORPG (massive single-player offline role-playing game).

.hack Part 1: Infection - Review (PS2)

Konsolen-World
1 December 2009

.hack//Infection Part 1

JeuxVideo.fr
16 May 2005
