Not Worth The Money

Squishymeister, Bestbuy
6 December 2013
  • Summary: I love Guitar Hero, it's one of my favorite games. I mean, what's not to love about feeling like a famous Rocker in your own living room?
  • Pros: Guitar Hero is awesome! The songs are fun. Good choices of classic 80s rock.
  • Cons: no unlockables. too much money for new material

Not quite worth the money.

alnj, Bestbuy
6 December 2013
  • Summary: Guitar Hero: Rock the 80s is quite simply a thrown-together cash-grab effort. It's Guitar Hero 2 with some cheap 80s neon thrown in.
  • Pros: Some fun songs, must have for diehards.
  • Cons: Overpriced, underproduced, too short.

Fun game

6 December 2013
  • Summary: I did have fun with this game. It's a good tide me over from GH2 to GH3, though many songs just aren't as much fun to play and you end up getting sick...
  • Pros: Basically a continuation of the awesome GH2, but with songs from the 80s
  • Cons: Many songs are lame, and there are only 30 songs, no unlockable songs!

  • Summary: This game was a little disappointing when compared to Guitar Hero I and II because it just doesn't have as many songs or things to buy at the "store"...
  • Pros: Great music
  • Cons: Not as much extras

OK game

4 June 2013
  • Summary: This is a good game but, It feels more like an expansion to Guitar Hero 2 instead of its own game.
  • Pros: It's more Guitar Hero
  • Cons: It's very short.

okay game, but not the greatest

metalofwars97 , GameStop

  • Summary: This game is relatively fun for a short time at first, but after a few times playing it, it begins to drag on a bit. I have this game for ps2, and i still sometimes play it just for fun, but most of this game is not exactly fun. I'm 14 years old, and I am okay with Aerosmith, but I'm not the biggest fan of them in the world. Anyway, this game is best for easy, medium, and some hard players but not for the true guitar hero players that play well on expert, like myself.

Feels like an expansion pack...

Anonymous, Newegg
23 July 2007
  • Summary: The song lineup isn't always about being a Guitar Hero...
  • Pros: New songs (and even a few must haves like Poison, Ratt, Twisted Sister, Skid Row, Quiet Riot).
  • Cons: There are no unlockable songs, so there is only 30 total.
