Summary: I went to gamestop looking for guitar hero: smash hits, but it wasn't their so i decided to get this. I didn't know half of these songs, but i still played it. yah, theres some really anoying songs on here, but i discovered some new good songs.
Summary: Ok.This game was very interesting. I would have never guessed that they would have chosen those songs, I mean I was expecting some Deep Purple, or Peter Frampton, or even add some 70's music, like LYNYRD SKYNYRD (greatest band of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Summary: It would have been nice to have a discounted price due to the lack of unlockable extra songs. For a first-timer go with Guitar Hero II, but if you love the 80's, got to have it!
Pros: There are some choice songs in this collection. I grew up in the 80's love the music. Eventhough same characters they did change the hair styles and clothing to try and match the 80's "feel". Also there are added 80's style tips when loading songs that are quite funny.
Cons: A few songs the sound levels for the background and guitar had lowered volumn levels halfway during play, but they aren't my favorite songs so who cares.
Excerpt: I love the Guitar Hero games and this one is great! Guitar Hero: Rock the 80's, is a great edition to the Guitar Hero name with only great songs from the 80's on the track list. This game was made in the Guitar Hero 2 style of graphics and play, so it is harder to acheive hammer ons and pull offs...
Excerpt: First off, Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80's is a truly amazing game if you liked the other games. Guitar Hero is basically about hitting notes with your guitar controller as they roll across the board. As you progress you buy new guitars and unlock new songs. That's it. It sound simple, and it is.
Pros: Great song selection, many recognizable bands, same great gameplay
Cons: Not a whole lot new, not the best games for people new to the series
Summary: I really enjoyed this, but I am obsessed with guitar hero so ya. Though take note it's an "Expansion Pack" rather than a full game so gameplay won't last as long as GH1-3 The only thing that annoyed me was Ballroom Blitz WHAT WAS THAT DOING IN AN 80's GAME?! Well.....
Summary: GH: rocks the 80's is basically guitar hero 2 but with 30 new songs. This does not include the songs from guitar hero 2. I got it Friday morning, and nearly a week later, am still playing as much as I did on Friday, even though I did complete it in 3 1/2 hours, I'm still enjoying it.
Summary: I'm sure if you've played GH1 or 2 then you will want this game. Basically GH is overall, in my opinion, is one of the most addictive and brilliant games ever released. Overall, with GH games, you cannot fault the basics, being able to pl;ay classic rock tunes without leaving your home, with a...
Summary: If you're a fan of the first two games in this series then you will know what to expect. This edition of the game, as the name plainly says, consists of songs from the eighties. There is a smattering of 'new wave' tunes but the majority is what the eighties were famous for - dreadful hair metal like...
