Summary: This game is a blue bottom disk, one of the first format types released for the ps2, I had the unfortunate luck of purchasing a copy that would not run on ANYTHING besides on of the rare, ps3 backwards compatible models. I've been told not "all" copies of this game prove to be this difficult, but I tested mine in no less than 15 original model ps2's and 2 slim models, and it wouldn't boot up at all.
Summary: When I first heard the words... Guilty Gear X, I just shrugged. The name really didnt catch my ear. At first I thought it was to be some sort of RPG that had to deal with mechs and so forth. But after we got hold of a copy, I couldnt put it down. If your a fan of anime, the style of graphics will dazzle you. The attacks are confusing at first, but it doesnt take long to master a character. And the characters are proportioned to their size. Take Potemkin for example.
Summary: Guilty Gear X could be the nicest looking 2D fighter ever, no doubt. The gameplay is fast paced, the graphics are superb--it's almost like you're watching an anime; and the sound is pretty cool too, except for the announcer. The only drawback though, is that there are no endings? Why in the world did they not include endings?
Summary: If you've played your classics like 'Street Fighter' & 'Mortal Kombat' - back in the days of the Mega Drive, you'll love this game. I would reccomend it in that case or even if you want to try out a new fighting game (being bored of previous ones). However to remenber it's 2D & in Japanese Anime - a bit old school but great in a sense. The game is good graphically and visually with nice colours & high-resolution backgrounds making it a unique fighting experience.
if you like the capcom fighters you have to get this!

Summary: it is a fast paced fighter with 16 strange and bizare characters. the 2d characters look excellent on top of the high res backgrounds giving the game an especialy authentict feel. the moves are simple and easy to discover and with huge power attacks reminesent of the streetfighter brand it makes it a must have. but its unoriginality and easy difficulty level stops it from reaching its full potential. if you liked marvel vs capcom then buy this if not then rent it.
Summary: Guilty Gear X is a 2D PS2 fighter in a similar vein to Capcoms legendary Street Fighter series. In terms of style it's very similar to Darkstalkers/ Nightwarriors, with characters more powerful than the average Street Fighter, but not as spectacular as an X-Man. Graphically, it looks beautiful with excellent anime-style graphics throughout, although some of the animation, especially on certain backgrounds and some of the more inhuman characters, could have used a few...
