The Gran That Didn't Last Long
13 November 2006
Excerpt: Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo series has a rather fine pedigree in gaming circles. The self-proclaimed 'real driving simulator' raced onto the PlayStation scene in 1998, reinvigorating the racing genre with its remarkable depth of handling, superb design, dazzling visuals and unparalleled roster...
Pros: Stunning visuals, excellent handling, well - presented
Cons: Nowhere near enough new features, dwarfed by GT3, little value
Excerpt: I own a copy of GT3 and once i'd completed that and found that concept was out i had to go and buy it, i got it home and straight away put it on to play. It was great for the first couple of races but then it was just repetetive and didn't hold my attention at all, i begrudgingly finished the game...
Excerpt: I own GranTurismo3 and really enjoyed it, so when GT Concept came out I rushed out to buy it. When I first got my hands around the controller and loaded up the game I was so pleased at the cars available to me, some of my all time favorites where there!
Excerpt: Hello there, I have almost completed this fantastic game but just have a few more races to do. GT Concept is very unlike GT3 in respect to completion. As in GT3 you race to earn money, prgressing on too winning and purchasing new superb cars, however in GT Concept you race to achieve cars not money.
Pros: Brilliant driving simulation, easy to learn and sweet to play !
Excerpt: I could have started this review by copying my Gran Turismo 3 review, deleting the detailed description at the beginning and leaving you with the juicy parts, all tarted up and with new words. Why? Well, that basically describes what GT Concept is all about.
