If there is an upside to Godzilla: Unleashed, and I'm not saying there is one, I guess it would have to be the appeal to younger gamers. If your child has no ambitions to ever play a decent game and is generally uncoordinated, then this title is perfect. Otherwise, I'd have to advise the general public to avoid this game like the plague. Some franchises just don't make good games; Godzilla is one such franchise. Godzilla and his brethren are slow; their strength lies in their innate ability to absorb damage while stomping on tanks and spitting fire at foes. Neither "agile" nor "aptitude for combos" appear on Godzilla's resume, and anybody present in a fighting game needs one or the other, if not both. Read more

does a pretty good job of not only conveying the look of the various locations the monsters will fight in (Tokyo, Monster Island, etc.), but, of course, the monsters themselves. Even though I would argue that many of the monsters (especially the mecha ones) look alike, I was typically able to tell who was friend and who was foe in the heat of battle.
