The God of War PS2 game has a new version called God of War II. It was God of War II which garnered the Golden Joystick Award during the 2007 Golden Joystick Awards, for being the “PlayStation Game of the Year 2007”. The storyline and great features has won the game many fans.

The God of War PS2 game has a new version called God of War II. It was God of War II which garnered the Golden Joystick Award during the 2007 Golden Joystick Awards, for being the “PlayStation Game of the Year 2007”. The storyline and great features has won the game many fans.

The main character is called Kratos (called the New God of War) who must battle various foes, mainly using the Athena’s Blades as his basic weapon. As the game storyline unfolds, other weapons can be obtained and used as well. These weapons, along with magic abilities and the Athena’s Blades, are indispensable to winning the game. Mythical creatures that appeared in the original God of War also make their return to this version. The game is loosely based on Greek mythology which is why certain Greek gods like Zeus and Athena are considered integral characters that Kratos encounters here.
