Summary: I bought this game after reading the great reviews on Amazon.com, and frankly, I was disappointed at what I was getting for an alledged "amazing" PS2 game. I'm sure any Gauntlet fans will praise this just like Legends and the original arcade classic. But really, how amazing is a game that you can beat by holding down one button and standing back from enimies?
Summary: There are so many better games out there now. I found this quite boring and simplistic, with not much skill involved to work through the game. Graphics are also very poor compared to similar more recent games. Only those who played it when younger might like it because of the nostalgia.
Summary: While at first I was very excited about the possibility of multi-player gaming, it soon became apparent that the game was not challenging at all. I am not near becoming any real good on any games, as I am completely bad at all games except Jeopardy. However, if this game turns to be way too easy even for me, then I believe it will be extremely boring for most kids. Cute game to play with your spouse, and kill time once in a while.
Excerpt: ..aahhh the sounds of the arcade calling for my money. ... "who needs food bady!!!"... I did.. used all my pocket money in Gauntlet and left nothing for lunch? Having two brothers helped destroy the dragon when I was young but watch our panic as greed for treasure awoke death only to realise we had used our last potion to kill him. If anyone else wants to relive their own private memories of Gauntlet. I suggest they dont buy this game.
