"This one lost its pizzazz"

A. Estes, Amazon
17 March 2008
  • Summary: Of all the animated shows to cross over into videogames, one would think that "Futurama" would translate the best. Whether it's the off-color characters, the crazy scenarios or the bizarre plot-lines, "Futurama," as a videogame, was almost guaranteed to be a good time. However, when you actually sit down and play it, it's shocking just how pedestrian and bland it really is. Granted, playing as Fry, Leela, Bender and even Dr.

A Must Have for Futurama Fans Who are also Gamers

Robyn Cafaro "wondergirlrobyn", Amazon
5 December 2004
  • Summary: I was very hesitant to check out this game when I had heard it come out... And I am a DIE HARD Futurama fan. It's almost a sort of rite of passage that in order to become a TRUE Futurama fan, you need to play this game (not necessarily finish it, but play a good deal of it)... The storyline seems like it was a rejected episode idea- but apparently an idea good enough to make into a video game.

Great Futurama, lousy game

Andrew P. Martin, Amazon
13 May 2004
  • Summary: This game makes absolutely awesome use of the Futurama licence. Everything that could be handled by Futurama's creative team is done perfectly: a great story told by hilarious cutscenes fully voiced by the show's original actors. I have never laughed so hard from a videogame. The enemies and heroes have many great quips during gameplay too (you come across a group of robot guards, and one of them yells 'Hey it's one of the good guys! Get Him!').

Thought it was good, until.........

Hefti, Amazon
6 December 2003
  • Summary: Well I found this game pretty good untill the 4th to last level. IT WAS IMPOSSABLE TO BEAT!!!!! I SERIOUSLY DONT THINK THAT THE PEOPLE THAT MADE THIS GAME CAN EVEN BEAT THAT LEVEL WITHOUT THE CODE: INVINCABILITY ON. Up until that level i never had to use codes on this game. But when it came to that level and I tried to beat it like 20 times and couldnt get past the part u start in i had to get the codes online.

mediocre title

TwistaG "Quoth the Raven 'Nevermore", Amazon
3 September 2003
  • Summary: While not the best platformer in town, Futurama manages to sidestep the peg-warmer status usually reserved for licensed games with a fun mixture of addictive action, tough obstacle course maneuvering, and actual wit. In the game, you play three characters from the show, each with unique methods for clipping waves of space-age enemies: pizza-delivering poindexter Fry with laser rifles and shotguns, robot rummy Bender with spinning attacks, and cyclopean fist of fury Leela...

Futurama Review

"mickyjw", amazon.co.uk
22 February 2004
  • Summary: This game takes you on a journey through the weired and wonderful world of fututama. On you're way you encounter many of the tv shows characters, who undoubtubly add the inevitable humour. I am a huge fututama fan and enjoyed this very much, I can see why dislikers of the programme however would not like this as much (hens the rating).

Disappointing

Andy, amazon.co.uk
5 September 2003
  • Summary: Well, the cartoon segments are very nice but the actual gameplay is disappointing - somewhat repetitive and occasionally rather difficult in a fiddly sort of way. The humour helped to delay the onset of boredom and frustration, but not by much. Watch the tv series instead.
