Summary: Just about everything that freedom fighters does in does right. From the exciting story to the suberb gameplay and some of the best music to ever grace a game. First of all Freedom Fighters is underated and underappriciated. It didn't sell that well and that it a terrible shame because this is a game that should be experianced by all. I mean your hooked from the start and it just gets better and better.
Summary: This game is so superbly done it outshines later hits as Resident Evil 4, any GTA permutation, even the hit squad based action FPS Brothers in Arms. I have played all of these games and I keep coming back to Freedom Fighters. What brings me back is the perfect tactical control. The easy interface with your squad, the charisma meter, and the great story with excellent cutscenes with superb music make this a must own.
Summary: Who did we fear in the 50's? Who has a vast arsenal of nukes? Who are stereotyped as an altogether ruthless and bloodthirsty people? That's right: the Soviet Union. Now, most of these stereotypes are completely exaggerated and hold almost no shred of truth. But does that stop IO Interactive from making a game about them? Hell no. Freedom Fighters asks another one of those classic "what if" questions. What if the USSR won the cold war? What would happen to the world?
Summary: This game is excellent overall. The graphics are great, the gameplay is awesome. Most of all I recommend it because it is easier and more fun to play than similar games, like SOCOM, for example, where I found hard to coordinate the soldiers under my command. In this game it es very easy to lead the soldiers to get the missions accomplished.
Summary: I've had a great time playing this game. The "alternative universe" idea of the game is very nice. Where you are in the early 21st centurary, and Russia is the super-power of the world. They come to take over the US, and being the American you are, you say "No way am I gonna let those commie Russians take over America". You fight through many missions to destroy the Russians. This game is very simple, and very fun.
Summary: The whole idea is that the soviets droped a bomb and Washington D.C. and are now trying to rule the US. You play thourgh multiple sections on each city. One of the best features is that the missions bounce off each other. Ff you kill a helicopter landing pad in one area, no more helicopters will come in that city. The weapon selection is not so great, but it is fun. I tried 4 player with my friend, but the multitap would register that the extra controllers were there.
Summary: Game developers need to look at this game very closely. This game is simplicity at its finest. Everything about it is simple...WHICH IS WHY IT IS PERFECT!! I must say that this game wasn't truly fun in a traditional sense. But if you have a political keenness, that doesn't matter. The story begins at the early years of the 21st century (2002 or 2003 I think).
Summary: I rented this game and I just could not stop playing it. Its first player is cool. I like how you start off as a plumber and move to the top Freedom Fighter. I also like it because you can recrute people and you can send them happily off to thier deaths. I like that he reloads and aims by himself, unless you go on the aiming mode which is mostly for getting people from distances. The multiplayer is cool too.
