Summary: This is a classic! The racing is fun and begs to be replayed in the early levels. But as you progress, the AI gets almost insanely difficult. The cars take unrealistic amounts of damage, but every dent & sheared quarter panel is smoothly reproduced. Then there are the mini-games! Great entertainment with or without a few beers! I owned it for many years and often entertained guests with Flat Out 2's mini games.
Summary: Not sure what all of the bad reviews are about, but i have been into console racing games since the Atari 2600 30 years ago, and in my opinion this is the best racing game ever on any console and i have many of them (up to the PS2 and original Xbox) can't speak for the current gen systems.
Summary: I have had the game [Flat Out Two] before an wore it out playing it with the grand kids. It has good graphics and the variety of tracks and games make it a lot of fun.Being able to restart the game so easy made a hit with the little ones. I PLAY THE GAME MYSELF...I like the Demo Derbys...Its a all around Family game .
Summary: I have played almost all of the PS2 demolition derby games: Destruction Derby Arenas, Crash n Burn, Test Drive Eve of Destruction, and Flatout 1 and 2 (I think these are all, excluding the Burnout series if they can be called demolition derby games). My thoughts are that Flatout series ties with Eve of Destruction for best PS2 demolition derby game. Anyway, if you are a motorsports fan you should give a try at them all.
