Different sort of flying game.

Varday William Campbell, Amazon

  • Summary: The game was good overall, though at times it was harder to understand the controls than flying a fighter aircraft. I probably just need more practice, and patience on it. I liked the different targets, and environments that I was able to fly, and attack. Don't care for the controls to much. Overall, I would recommend it.

Good game for chopper geeks and patient people.

  • Summary: Man, I HATE timed levels!! If this game was all about completing objectives on your own sweet time this would be a killer game!! As it stands, it is a cool game if you like flight type sims. Fun blowing up stuff - not fun finding out you have only 30 sec to complete 2 objectives. Lot's of 'ups and downs' as far as level difficulty goes (REALLY easy, then FRIGGIN hard). Not too many chopper sims out for PS2, so give it a try first before buying.

It could be better?

  • Summary: Fireblade starts off slow, but does get better as you go.Getting by the 2nd mission in campane 1 leaves a lot to your determination to continue. The sniper shooting is to say the least a boring mission. The thing that really grips me is the glitches that continue as the game progresses.

Fireblade Rocks!!!

  • Summary: I was a bit sceptical having played Thunderstrike and been disappointed. But this is certainly the best chopper game on PS2. It has a feel of the Strike series by EA, but of course updated to full 3d. Where EA have failed to update the series, Midway have stepped in and done a good job; or rather the developer Kuju have.
