Summary: This Installment of FF marks the beginning of the end of the series. Bland story, Uninteresting characters...and to be blunt... an all around BORING game. I can't believe I said that about a FF game, but it is absolutely true. Those of you who have rated this game highly either were born too late to understand why this series has declined so much, or you are easily entertained by the pretty graphics. The story has absolutely NO build up to the final battle.
Summary: Final Fantasy XII is an extremely linear RPG with very nice graphics. However, it suffers from bland characters, an uninteresting storyline, and broken core mechanics. You can easily tweak your characters so that they have all of their super-attacks available early, and plow through any and all boss fights by chaining said attacks. The world is large, but boring. The game is long, but there are no side-quests or minigames with the exception of monster-slaying quests.
Summary: I was really excited for this game seeing as I own them all, I was outright DISAPPOINTED! The first FF I never even finished. The graphics are awesome I'll give them that one, and I like how detailed they were about the story, but the opening scene seemed completely irrelevant, and then you play a character who also seems like we could have lived without knowing and playing, so when you finally get to your character you have to run STUPID errands, learn about having to...
Summary: i bought this game a few days ago within 2 seconds the game got to confusing. The battle system is weird strange. storyline was ok, character costumization was nice, there was no interfce except when you press X. then the interface pops up. there was no little menu like in other final fantasy games, (and i know this even though i have never actually PLAYED a final fantasy game)sound was excellent, length was ok, challenge was amazing TO hard the thing that bugged me the...
Summary: While the storyline may or may not be excellent I honestly don't care. The fact that the first part of the game you have to run obnoxious little errands in a massive was the first turn off. Then I learn that I have to get licenses to wield certain weapons, gimme a break. That is almost as bad as having judges in final fantasy tactics advance. Then following the obnoxious errands I have to run places that are way far away from town, who I love this game, or not.
Summary: In the game the battle system is the suckiest thing ever it has to go it's the most annoying part you have to wait for the line to turn a certain color before you attack and if you get hit while charging it sucks
Summary: How many times have you waited for something you really want, but when you get it, you feel like you've been kicked in the groin. Well unfortunately Final Fantasy 12 is like that and it doesn't feel like the other Final Fantasy's. I am not saying that this is bad but just a "Final Fantasy game" should feel like a Final Fantasy game. The graphics on this game are superb, even better than FF10's graphics. The level of detail is amazing and the FMV's are top quality.
Summary: With the recent let down of Square's spin off title "final fantasy X-2" the company had a lot of ground to cover with their latest title final fantasy XII. The game sort of makes up for previous losses form X and X-2, and it's clear that square enix are trying to break new ground with the series, but there are many problems with the game that made me feel a little let down by the RPG titans. First things first are the graphics.
Summary: I've played every FF game from one to twelve and this is the only time I have decided not to finish a FF game. What made the other FF games so great was the experience of watching your characters grow their relationships and strengths with great ways to learn new ablities such as the materia system in FF7 or the Sphere grid in FF10. Along with limit breaks (Trances, overdives etc...) and summonings.
